RB Legend Bey (Official Thread)

I’ll jump in to try to explain. Two things can be true.

1) He is THAT good.

And

2) He is not doing what the coaches have asked in order to earn the playing time and show his talent.

Coaches can’t stop him from being late or taking lazy practice reps or posting dumb social media things or any other off-field immaturity things he may have going on.*

*that is speculation and random examples. I have no insight - the kid isn’t breaking laws but Day has clearly challenged him to PRACTICE better.

I want the offense to find another spark. I’m rooting for him to get on the field bad. I think Bey is going to be special (here or elsewhere)…but there’s a team culture and expectation of earning things the hard way. That hasn’t happened.

Don't waste your time with somebody who states outright that he refuses to understand such an obvious and simple concept.

Jeremiah Smith also has a real QB throwing him the ball. I'm sure it isn't all the WRs fault. Give them the kid from Illinois, and I'm sure they would be better. Hopefully they never do.

Candidly, I enjoyed the strategic use of our OL jumping off-sides requiring more plays to get first downs, thereby draining the clock when we wanted. 4-fucking-D chess.

Obviously, they need to work on the OL dealing with a loud stadium, but at least they learned that against Iowa. I like that they've got Sayin to take the first down with his feet rather than always looking to throw it. Any threat of QB run will do nothing but help everyone else in short yardage.

Lmao, they said that scums longest run of the game vs Western was called back due to holding.... by Bruce fucking Underwood! What other QB is so inept and selfish that he can even ruin his RBs best play of the day.? Shitbag.

You didn't see that play?

They had him lead blocking.

He obviously has no experience at it so he fucked it up. He's lucky he didn't get killed, he went right at the guy.

To be fair, there was no selfishness that I could see, just plain, old fashioned ineptitude.

I hadn't heard about it either, so I found it:

LifeSurge and Pablo Torre story

Investigating a company that is scamming people? Yes. You're just upset that he mentioned the players who appeared at the seminar. He never accuses them of any wrongdoing but talks about how the company uses well known athletes and celebrities to draw people in. It's Life Surge he is investigating, not the players. Torre is a legit investigative journalist.

And legitimate journalists use underhanded tactics.

1) This is twitter. 99.99% of people will not read this.

2) Read this sentence and tell me whether it implies Urban is the scam artist:

Three Ohio State football players, Urban Meyer and Kirk Herbstreit (and his dog) headlined a Life Surge event in Columbus:"I was stunned that it really wasn't a bigger story... These guys are literally funneling well-intentioned, financially illiterate Christians into a meat

You shouldn't need to re-read other things it to realize what's actually being said. But that was his intention, because he knew:

- Trolling OSU
- attaching it to these characters the face of CFB in Kirk, the 2nd best coach of the previous 20 years and a highly controversial dog

would generate massive ratings:

Interestingly, Pablo didn’t (nor did DJ) explore the entire backstory on “The Walk Foundation” but probably isn’t as straightforward as scamming people and taking advantage of their credit.

Quoting DJ Byrnes is certainly a choice by Pablo.

There's an actual story here full of ugly details. It doesn't require idiotic tactics to get people to read about it (or maybe it does, which is sadder)

“Top troll”?

I suppose the espn writers were impressed that the Bama social media team was able to write a complete, coherent sentence.

Would love to get real story about Portnoy losing his piece of Michigan liver, but don’t want to join x to do it. What’s the buzz on the Ann Arbor Annoyer?

Barstool was Fox's response to Pat McAfee.

Barstool's trolling bro humor plays well in online communities, but not on mainstream tv.

McAfee is bro humor but built more for mainstream audiences.

I think it just didn't work for Fox.

Portnoy's only thing he seems to have is trolling Day and OSU, which probably pissed off OSU, and they flexed some muscle. Protecting one's image this day and age is huge.

It over all probably wasn't landing and it was a easy business decision for Fox.

Just my guess.
