We're going to learn who he is this week. I'm optimistic based on what I've seen, at least relative to my admittedly low expectations. At a minimum, he's an improvement over Hartline so far.

I'd like to know what we're coaching, what he's supposed to be doing, and if we even have a punting strategy. It LOOKS to me like we just go out there and rip it off and see what happens, but that may not be, and hopefully isn't, correct. For the very little that it's worth, I'd be looking for hang time given the athletes we can put out there to chase it down. Instead, I see line drives that go into the end zone, shanks, etc. I don't think precision punting is necessary for us and it seems like we could be over thinking it. It should be very simple here. Just get some air, get some length, and let the gunners do their jobs.

And lest we overthink this, the LV team got SWEPT by a second year of existence team! Didn't watch any, and won't, but might suggest that the refs were under scrutiny all game, for 'letting' Aja get away with her sh**. SWEPT! by an expansion team, with nary a 'name' to its credit. So Aja and Stewie are on the sidelines, so let's see how many butts are in the seats for this series....

I for one am astonished how well tOSU is playing D this year, given what walked out the door - Styles, Reese, Kmac, and of course Caleb. And all seem to be making a splash at the next level. Wow.

@pnuts34 is there a difference maker out there still or fo you see that RB coming from the portal?

This seems to be the issue the last couple seasons is having that explosive back.

Appears that Lincoln's plan worked out well. Spend 3 years understudying tOSU QBs, check. Have a great competition as an tOSU QB, check. Take that experience into the portal, and land with a team that's both good, and needing a QB1, check. Have a good/great year on the field, check. Win a Nati, tbd. And left without POing off Buckeye nation, check.

Would imagine that tOSU WR coaches are pretty upfront about helping downfield with blocking. Kinda a baseline expectation. AND always has been a trademark of Buckeye WRs. On the turning the corner plays, always see a WR blocking, if not 'getting in the way' of a LB, which equates to a TD, if not a few extra yards. And as we've seen, those extra yards can be critical. And if it were me, I'd put together a tape of last game, isolating the blocks that spring longer runs and/or catches. Might be a great way to start a film session, and drive home said point....
