Deciding When to Retire

I had planned on waiting until 65, but now I am thinking take SS at 62 and give myself an 3 extra years of the healthiest retirement time I will have. I feel like I'm at the point where enjoying the time I have left is more important to me than padding my retirement account. I'd pull the plug earlier, but I doubt my wife would be okay with it and I want buy-in from her.
62 seems to be the sweet spot for maximizing what you can pull long term from SS. Thats what I’m shooting for. House will be paid off, my wife and I should exceed 2 million in 401-k and have 500k in her company’s stock. I’m diabetic so I’m not living past 75 so I’m going to enjoy as much life as I have left.

tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Per Juck on BH about WR recruiting:
Well, If I'm being hyper critical and I am because of his record coming in, Just the way he's moved. Very little news, hard to spot his true targets, slow to offer, chasing a pipe dream in Easter (imo) Recruits are consistently talking about Devin Jordan. I've heard "Coach Jordan said" more this cycle than I have in the last 2 years combined. This offer to Cade Cooper says what? Nothing has changed with Cooper. He's a long dog right next door at a school the staff is very familiar with. He's already dropped his top 6. He didn't just explode on the camp circuit and he's well in to his process. If you were interested in him what's taken so long? Hart had relationships with a lot studs and none of those relationships have progressed. All have gone the other way. If Jamier wasn't in this class everyone would be losing it right now. The best thing he's done is continue to pursue Blake Wong hard and I think he's a Buckeye but he likely was if @Tony Gerdeman took over the WR room.

I'm not saying I don't think he's going to land. He has a lot in his favor to be able to close. Things are very different now. But all this feels so similar to Frye that I understand why in the old era Hankton did not produce impressive classes for where he was. Which doesn't mean he won't now. The "great recruiter" assistant coach means so much less than it used to.

This will be interesting, because increasing the CFP to 24 teams will absolutely destroy the importance of a number of rivalries. They will still be played, and the fans will still be rabid. But if a HC is worrying about the health of his a week before a CFP game, I can see some starters sit, and some coaches not take the rivalry as serious. Especially if programs start hiring more coaches with no alliance to the school and their culture(i.e. alum).

2027 IN WR Monshun Sales (Verbal Offer)

Even if Hartline was still at OSU I don’t think they’d try and match IU. I don’t see OSU offering big deals to 2 5star WRs unless one is willing to take quite the discount. Jamier Brown was the top target, he already committed and shut it down. Land Blake Wong, and Then after that I have no clue since Hankton has a different list than Hartline did. Benny Easter is another name to pack away but he’s committed to Texas Tech right now, but OSU seems to be pursuing hard and he’s visiting in a month
Jett arrives after this class...

Meanwhile they are deciding whether or not to go get another quarterback. Which will be the opposite of affordable.

Monshun commands a high price. Nothing wrong with that.

Other schools are not on osu's level. He's one of four top end receivers in a 3-year span. That number may be more like six plus. He should absolutely benefit from that urgency for other schools to start acquiring their first receiver like that.

That if Indiana can maintain consistency this upcoming season, that would be a very compelling pitch beyond earnings.

2027 IN WR Monshun Sales (Verbal Offer)

Stay tuned for the updated Fong Bomb coming before the month is over. Fong Bomb (R), now we know one of the schools he kinda likes.
I can see his recruitment bounce in between IU, Miami, and I can another big money team like Oregon or one of the Texas little brothers. But I doubt OSU will seriously pursue as strong unless he's willing to lower his price(which I doubt and I don't blame him)
