2028 PA WR Jett Harrison (Verbal Offer)

Time for a new streak….,,..losing streak!

I see it the other way. The youngest brother of a a hyper competitive, athletic alpha type family is usually a freaking nightmare (in a good way) as a player themselves even if they aren't the most talented of the bunch (think Boren clan)

Woody help everybody if the little brother may be the most physically gifted because he's guaranteed to have the drive and that extra little brother chip.
To validate. Im the youngest of my huge family. When I was a kid I was in a fight couple streets away and the dads stood around watching. I overheard one say ‘dayumm that kid is an animal” the other said “ yeah, he’s tired of getting his ass beat every day at home so he couldn’t wait to take it out on somebody else “

Add to that having the genes of MHsr and also the ability to pick the brain and learn from a NFL HOFer. Along with learning from older bro who to succeed in the same offense he did in college. Im sure similar to Joey working with Nick before he got to OSU which gave him a massive early leg up

One can never underestimate the impact of an older sibling. Not wanting to compete head-to-head with his/her legacy. "If only you were more like your brother", certainly stings. Or "work harder, we'll make you as good as your brother". Even innocuous comments can hurt.
I wonder what's worse, being compared to your older sibling or your parent

2027 TN RB David Gabriel Georges (Verbal Offer)

This will come down to DOG'S relationship to the coaches and to the team. Right now the offers are near identical, both will put him in the NFL, both are big time programs.

But imo, I think Lock has gotten very close with the family. Im not sure how often the RB coach for UT visiting his family in Canada, but I know Lock has multiple times. The family has spoken highly of him and trusting their son with him. That goes a long way

2027 OH WR Jamier Brown is a Buckeye!!!

Ohio State insider shares intriguing insinuation on 5-star WR's visit

Now, though, with Edmunds in Columbus, many are thinking that there's a stronger chance than before that Edmunds will follow through with his commitment. Cleveland.com's Andrew Gillis called Brown's presence during Edmunds' visit interesting. That in and of itself is interesting.

"For a five-star receiver, there’s no drama when it comes to Brown. ... He’s locked into Ohio State, has shut down his commitment, and will come to Columbus in a few months as one of the best receivers in the country. This official visit weekend is just a formality for him, and he’ll interestingly join Edmunds," Gillis wrote.

Brown, unlike Edmunds, has been steady in his desire to attend the Ohio State University to continue playing football. In May, as Edmunds was inviting other schools to give him a reason to flip, Brown assured everyone that the Buckeyes were the only team in his mind.

“Time is just too close to just be playing around,” Brown said. “I know where I want to go, and it’s Ohio State. I really just don’t see no point in my going anywhere else. ... My recruitment’s been shut down for a minute. I just haven’t made it public. ... Me and coach (Ryan) Day had a conversation...I can’t wait to be up there and be great."

Maybe Brown is there to enforce the attitude Edmunds should've had all along. While every player has every right to treat the sport like a business, there are real consequences to doing so in the locker room. Edmunds getting right with his future teammates is important as a quarterback.

Jamier Brown could establish himself as a heroic Buckeye before ever playing a game

If Brown could help Edmunds realize there's nowhere else to be, we're talking about a 5-star recruit who is also a 5-star recruiter. We're also talking about someone who should have all tabs picked up in the greater Columbus metro indefinitely.

Edmunds, at six-foot-five, has the physical tools to do damage at every level. He's an accurate passer who could see an even higher percentage of his passes caught with an elite receiving corps, as he'd/he'll have in Central Ohio.

That the Buckeyes are seemingly bringing out the big guns to keep him on board proves his value. Edmunds is not someone the team wants to go down on record losing to a much inferior Big Ten program.

Brown's work this weekend will bring him a potential star QB for the future, but should also keep him on Ryan Day, Mark Pantoni, and probably a few important boosters' good sides. That's a great place to be on one of college football's most prestigious and built-to-last teams if you're Brown heading into signing day.
Thats very interesting, because I see OSU still having leverage in the Edmunds recruitment. And its always seemed that OSU was pushing him away more than him wanting out. I think to keep Edwards it would mainly take Fessler and Day sitting him down and having an honest convo. Brown certainly helps on the player side because im sure he wants a relationship with his QB. But it'll come down the coaches making a hard decision

2028 KS OL Reece Wilmes (Verbal Offer)

My brain may be foggy, but cannot recollect that tOSU has had any player from Kansas on its football team.
A bit out of date (ten years, to be exact), but as of 2016 there were at least two.
Kansas: By my count, the State of Kansas has sent only two players to Columbus - junior college transfer Jamie Sumner, who started at guard for a couple of years, and little-used lineman Mark Bean. Sumner gets the nod.
