Property tax increases

Correct. He was brought in for the 2019 season. The attempt was move the offense to a more vertical based passing game, driving the ball downfield early & often. Similar to how Seattle (at the time) Tampa with Brady, KC with Mahomes had become.

Baker showed up to camp overweight & out of shape. He struggled to consistently push the ball downfield without throwing picks and he bailed from clean pockets at the highest rate in the NFL.

Brownies offense went back under center and limited certain route types. F Delta was the biggest - of course, where Odell shined. But that is where Baker & ODB couldn't get onto the same page post snap because Baker struggled (still does) to consistently diagnose safety leverage.

Kitchens was fired as a result, Monken went out the door with him.

Well the bright side is in both games he seemed to shake it in the 2nd half. Not fully but if he played both of the games whole game like he did in the 2nd half we'd likley have won both.

Votto is 18.6% more valuable by that simple math.

Elly was 21,22,23

Both are great, the shit Elly takes from this fanbase is amazing.

And they do, but it’s not cheap.

Theres “club” wrestling gyms all over the place. Usually owned by a former wrestler who hires “coaches” who have a long history in wrestling.

From the clubs we’ve been members at, the rate is typically $120-$150 a month which includes 4 practices a week (M - F) and access to an open mat on Sundays which is free for anyone. Coaches usually travel to regional events to support kids during tournaments.

It is definitely time consuming and they have to love it. There’s typically a regional tournament every weekend in season, and probably a tournament monthly they’ll attend out of the winter season. But you can tell they’re fully invested in it….they love the sport and seeing kids grow.

As I explain to my buddies who have never been around wrestling, even if my son never makes it beyond HS wrestling, the culture he’s around nearly daily will pay off in the future. You can’t fake it in wrestling and these kids & adults that he’s with consistently, are there to support and uplift. It’s different than any sport I was around as a kid….the sport is such a grind, the respect everyone has for one another is at a different level.

Former Major League Baseball pitcher Wilbur Wood, who made the MLB All-Star game three times during his career, has died. He was 84 years old.

The Chicago White Sox announced Wood’s death earlier this week on X.

“The White Sox send our condolences to the family, friends and fans of 3x All-Star Wilbur Wood, who has passed away at the age of 84,” the White Sox posted on X. “Wood appeared in 578 games (286 starts) over 12 seasons with the White Sox from 1967-1978.”

In addition to the White Sox, Wilbur Wood also played for the Red Sox and Pirates during his MLB career.

The College Football Playoff will remain a 12-team field in 2026, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.

SEC commissioner Greg Sankey has publicly supported a 16-team model, but Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti would only agree to it if Sankey committed to a 24-team field after three years, sources told ESPN. Multiple sources have said that's not something Sankey was ready to do at this time. Although there has been significant support for a 16-team field, staying at 12 was an expected result because of the stalemate that has existed for months between the Big Ten and SEC.

There hasn't been any pushback from CFP leaders, though, about remaining at 12 for at least another season, sources told ESPN, as it only will be the third year of the fledgling system. The Big Ten also is interested in seeing how the selection committee will evaluate teams this fall after the ACC and SEC move to nine-game league schedules. There's an expectation that there will be more two- and three-loss teams for the group to consider.

In March 2024, the CFP and ESPN agreed to a six-year, $7.8 billion contract that ensures the network will remain the sole media rights holder of the event through the 2031-32 season. During those contract negotiations, the 10 FBS conferences and Notre Dame athletic director Pete Bevacqua signed a memorandum of understanding that gave the Big Ten and SEC the bulk of control over the playoff's future format.

The contract was built for either a 12- or 14-team field, but momentum for a 16-team playoff had increased in recent months. As the sole rights holder, ESPN imposed a deadline of Dec. 1, 2025, for the CFP to determine its format, but sources said the SEC asked for an extension, which was granted until Jan. 23.

CFP executive director Rich Clark said there will be a Dec. 1 deadline every year to inform ESPN of any format changes.

While the number of teams in the field will remain the same this fall, there will be some adjustments to how some are included. This season, the Power 4 conference champions will be guaranteed spots in the 12-team field, along with the highest-ranked conference champion from the Group of 6, which now includes the new-look Pac-12. Notre Dame will also be a lock for the playoff if it finishes in the selection committee's top 12.

Had those rules existed this season, both ACC champion Duke and Notre Dame would have qualified for the playoff -- and No. 10 seed Miami, which played for the national title, would have been excluded.

I think it’s the North vs North thing. ND isn’t as national as they think they are, and Ohio state has been there a lot recently. The southeast annd southwest US likely ignored the game.

IU brought a lot of viewers as a ‘cool story’ and Miami is a great team to hate. It was a great north south battle (most of the folks here in Florida were cheering for IU). Similar to Ohio State vs Oregon. East vs West. Blue blood vs likeable scrappy new team searching for their first title, but that time the villain won. :shrug:

Could somebody please 'dumb it down' for me, and explain why I see 'unfinished' beside some of the matches? I do get that the match is over, but why not let these kids play it out? For a visiting team to come all this way, or the Buckeyes go there, and have the match called, seems a disservice to the players.....Am I also correct in assuming that when the match is unfinished, it would go towards their record as a 'win' or a 'loss' depending? Playing it out would allow a completion, or a come back, instead of a truncated game. Thanks in advance.
