Gorney thinks we still lead for CB Danny Lang, even after a heavy push and meeting with USC recently. Were rumors that he could be trying to make another visit to OSU soon. Night game against UCLA makes sense. His teammate Aaryn Washington continues to be a battle of USC and OSU. His source thinks OSU could be on top. This one I’m not sure I buy it. It’s been reported many times in the past that he’s very close to his mom and would probably want to stay near her.

Just saw on IG that Taven Epps, 4 star 2027 LB from California de committed from Texas. The interesting part is Favour Akih commented on it with a Buckeye GIF. Might be something or nothing. IDK where he is on the list of wants.
shawn kemps kids3 hours ago Taven Epps, for those who are not familiar with him, is the 24/7 Comp #100 player and LB7 in the class out of Tustin, CA (just outside Irvine). Has offers from just about anyone and everyone. Greg Biggins report says he played safety in HS last season, LB this season and has the frame to grow into an edge by the time he gets to college.

Mick Walker says Ohio State is working to get JayQuan Snell on campus for UCLA or Rutgers, he was supposed to visit for Penn State but couldn’t due to the noon kickoff. Makes it likely he’s able to visit for UCLA. Top of the board target for Matt G along with Eli Johnson.

I would say that "elite" is much more of a thing specific to a season. For example, Ohio State has been elite for a couple of years, but not every year. Indiana has probably never ever been elite, but they may be elite this year.
Using my interpretation, I would say that Oregon has been elite at times in the past. But they aren't elite very often.
I agree with this. I think we may be conflating being a blue-blood with being elite. If you analogize being elite with being rich, we basically have new-money fans annoying the old-money fans by boasting how rich they think they are, and the old-money fans are like "if you still have money in 20 years, then we can talk. Until then, go get your shine-box."
