2025 Countdown Thread

I love seeing big #75. I always think of Mike Vrabel saying low man always wins except when you are facing Orlando Pace
We all have our favorites

Randy Gradishar day has always been important to me. But this year might give me a new favorite day in the countdown

If the recently reported 45 day time period holds to the letter, then whatever hammer there is falls on Hop Cassady Day. Fitting I suppose. But recall that Fullback Jamar Martin wore #39, and Tressel referred to him as “a HAMMER” (emphasis his). So if the passing of the sentence is delayed by one day, I might be ok with it

Cincinnati Reds (2025 is our year! Haha thats actually funny)

They're such dumb hitters. When the pitcher clearly lost his command in the 4th, fraley came to bat after he worked hard to strike out benson, then walk lux. He hasn't been throwing strikes Jake; use your head an have an eye. The pitcher was clearly exhausted, you got him on the ropes, make him pitch to you. This is where you can knock him out.

Of course, Jake does the dumb thing - swings at the first pitch , which was off the plate, and let's him off the hook. These guys do not have the requisite cognitive powers to do the right thing.

Fraley does this ALL the time

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

He could always apply for a locker room janitor's job.

And his collection of unwashed, sweaty jock straps. Those will give him years of pleasure as he wanders the desert of unemployment. Fuck that jock-sniffing little weirdo.

Captain
William Roberts

While William (better known as Bill while at OSU) won no post season honors at Ohio State, the New York Giants selected him in the first round of the NFL draft and he vindicated that selection with a fine career. He is a great example of Buckeyes who deserve to be remembered even though the sports writers of the day didn't appreciate their contribution at the time.

2x All Big Ten
Captain
Team MVP
George Hasenohrl

Along with yesterday's DT from the 1972 goal line stands, George was a big part of that victory.
As for that 1972 game vs TTUN, here is a picture of George (screen cap from VHS) about to make the final tackle in his final game in Ohio Stadium.

George was another Buckeye who was taken from us far too soon. He died at the age of 51, just a couple of months before the 2002 team wrapped up their National Championship.
RIP

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

If The Game isn't going to have the same meaning as what it used to for the previous 100+ years, then I hope scUM is nuked so hard it would be as though they never existed at all.

That's about the only thing that will help make me not mourn the loss.

As always, Fuck em'
Preach!!
