DC Matt Patricia (Official Thread)

I at least have the benefit to say I was in a hold pattern on MP. Part of me understood because of his struggles as a HC. However, a larger part of me understood that MPs NFL background would be monumental. I guess overall I was cautiously optimistic.

Now that we know what they are. I’ll say this, if Day were to “go pro” then maybe MP is the answer?

There’s a photo of JJ Smith hugging MP and that’s different.. the offensive superstar embracing the defensive coordinator after a win? He wasn’t going to do that with Knowles even if he was on the sidelines.

The players love this guy and I have to say it’s great to see. I’m so glad to see the success for MP though. We all enjoy a good comeback story.

2026 CA CB Rahsjon Duncan (Washington Verbal)

Probably was in Seattle to witness Saturday's game. Also bet he was watching both team's DBs during play. Guess we'll see which way he leans, hopefully the Buckeye talking heads will dial him up to get his take.

He was there, as I believe this was one of UW’s biggest recruiting weekends. And I agree, I hope he was watching Igbinosun, Matthew’s, Styles and Sanchez swarm the UW WRs and make their best WR disappear

Mylan got in for one play against Washington I believe. On a fake reverse.

According to 11W snap counts for Wash game...

Wide Receivers
Jeremiah Smith: 56
Carnell Tate: 51
Brandon Inniss: 22
Mylan Graham: 5
Bryson Rodgers: 2

David Adolph: Special teams only

The critique I have of Hartline is what I’ve had for the majority of his time here. He needs to rotate more… I understand JJ is generational but I’d rather see 100% JJ and 100% Mylan Graham subbing in.

Seeing the snap counts for Washington is a bit concerning. Hopefully it’s just because we needed the win (I think it is) but there’s a few players we can’t afford to lose.

Hopefully we can rest KJ on defense to rest his knee, get kmac out because he’s important, and get the young skill on offense some reps this week because the concern has to be this team will either lose someone they can’t afford to lose or we’ll lose a game we shouldn’t because they’re worn down.

They’ve said it’s a long season and that’s why they’re playing slow. But maybe instead of playing slow we just substitute more?
Day was run 80 plays a game guy. With the long playoffs he’s burn the clock guy be efficient and get out with a win. 8 possessions will be normal.
