Game Thread Texas at tOSU, Sat. Aug. 30th, 12pm ET, FOX

Agreed that will be a resume maker for both teams certainly. Also believe that Inness and Klare (TE?) will put up big numbers, as our new QB, whomever it may be, will see them first as they run underneath routes. Am looking forward to seeing the recobbled OL, and how well they stack up against the UT DL. Regardless, hope it is enjoyable. Also believe tOSU's DBs will make the Texas QB look merely human.

2025 Spring Practices, Spring Game, and other Tidbits

Hope the Spring game is run as a hopped up scrimmage. Would dearly like to see the #1 DL against the #1 OL, and #2 Dl v #2 OL. As well as some decent hitting. I get that the QBs will be protected, but think that the RBs should get to be tackled. Probably more against than for, but merely my opinion, but of course, that's expecting zero injuries....Go Bucks! Also look forward to the B10 reviewing each B10 team, and broadcasting on B10 channel. Hopefully, this year, they will post which team they're visiting, so don't have to watch the chaff to get to the kernal (tOSU).

Spring Games

I have no issue with the intrasquad scrimmages, its nothing more than a showcase for a lot of the backups anyway. We wouldn't see Jeremiah or Peoples out there for more than a series anyway. And not sure what "secrets" there would be to show when guys like: Aaron, Bryce West, Devin Sanchez, SWD, Bo Jackson, Mylan Graham, Bryson Rodgers, Dammarian Witten, etc are getting a bulk of the reps

2026 MO OL Jackson Cantwell (Miami Verbal)

Will be interesting (to me at least), to see how this Baker guy fares when tOSU plays Texas in late summer. He was before Seaton and Sanders in the Buckeye's hopes and dreams. Does anyone recall if Sanders got on the field in the playoffs (against the Buckeyes certainly)? Did see that Seaton was starting at LT for Colorado, but Deion's sizzle didn't translate into wins up there. Anyway, it sounds like tOSU is doing better than usual in OL recruiting this year. Still more to be written. Go Bucks!

Higher Ed. firings and resignations

Funny you mentioned that, Jagdaddy. When time came for daughter to look at colleges, looked at the school demographics, to see what percentage of Asian/Americans were there. And back in the day, in SF, Asians fought for, and won, a guaranteed percentage of enrollment at the 'best' (Lincoln) HS in SF. In later years, that percentage became an upper limit, and the Asian population argued for getting rid of that percentage. Apropos of exactly nothing.

Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

How can one not be creative with those kind of leftovers in the fridge. Liked them singly, so why not together? They all go to the same stomach, don't they? What kind of wine did you imbibe with that?
Good on you knowing that I used wine to deglaze the pot before I covered it to simmer. It was a Sauvignon blanc, a cheap one from Aldi

2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Certainly need a solid big, who can play with back to the hoop, as well as a face-up. Rebounding chops, from both the #5 and #4, and some wing scoring. Believe at least one #3 ran out of eligibility, and Mahaffey's portaling out, leaves Royal? as an heir apparent. Do like Royal's hops around the basket, and rebounding skills/putting ball back in the hole, so figure on him getting the first shot there. Getting our PG of the future as incoming freshman is key, and getting him in the rotation certainly. Looks like Iowa and Xavier have a couple of solutions for us, being proven producers and 6'8" to boot. Let's hope that the AD and Foundation are serious about putting some swagger back on the hardwood. Go Bucks!
