Welcome to the new era of CFB… Ole Miss just lost their star LB due to NIL contracts getting leaked

Reportedly,

A post went up yesterday afternoon claiming players saw what others were making, and it didn’t sit right. Some newer guys were reportedly earning more than returning players.

At first, people questioned the report. Then around 1 AM, returning star LB TJ Dottery hit the portal… Who was in the first report that broke out yesterday afternoon.

Very interesting development.

Just sayin': Apparently having how much NIL money each player gets leaked doesn't necessarily end well......
Other then kids like jeremiah smith probably. Everyone on the team knows he that's dude. It's when younbg kids are makin more then 2nd stringers or fringe starters and they are like I'm better than x it's an issue

But it's also going to work itself out when the NIL marked stabilizes as opposed to jumping 50-100% every year

QB Devin Brown (National Champion, transfer to Cal, transfer to Weber St.)

not sure if any of them are any good (or are transferring out), but that's a pretty stacked QB room already.

Weber State?

They went 4-8 this year and their QBs combined to throw 11 TD / 16 INT

I'd assume he will probably end up being the starter at the beginning of the year.

WR Kyle Parker (Official Thread)

2023: Redshirted
2024: Injured after playing in 4 games. His 2024 redshirt freshman season was cut short due to a torn triceps injury, which may have qualified him for a medical redshirt and an extra year of eligibility.
2025: Played

Do you think he has a chance of getting a medical redshirt for 2024?
He would not even apply for that until after 2027. It’s no guarantee the NCAA would approve the waiver, nor is it a guarantee that Kyle would apply for it.

2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Very unexpected. I suppose the idea that he relied on inaccurate medical advice at PSU last year and would have had another full season but for that bad advice (presumably from a university authority figure) made a difference. It is difficult to join a team mid-season and make an impact, I wouldn't expect much for a few weeks.

Should semipro/college players be paid, or allowed to sell their stuff? (NIL and Revenue Sharing)

Less players to draft from. Players potentially less developed due to moving around every year and constantly having to spend time leaning a new system rather than just focus on improving their skills.

Maybe the NFL will push to fix our annual free agency system.
