2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

Being an obnoxious asshole over a school you attended is bad enough. Most of these clowns are obnoxious assholes over a school they never attended.
On one hand I agree with you.
But on the other, I didn't go to Ohio State. I grew up there and went to probably 50 games before I graduated high school. But I hope I'm just as much of an obnoxious asshole for Ohio State as these clowns are for the cheaters.

Game Thread #1 Texas at #2 tOSU, Sat. Aug. 30th, 12pm ET, FOX

There’s not too many rays of sunshine here if we’re being honest.

Only point is this is a tough schedule and for a younger team that’s not ideal. We could run the table but if it goes wrong there’s more games than normal that could be a problem.
The biggest thing to me is some MAC opponent tune up game to open and then play this game would have been a better idea. As you said, an extended schedule and tough schedule could make this a questionable decision. Saving grace is both teams lose a lot of experience and we're at home.

But enough of that shit, it's scheduled and it's going to be an electric opener in the Shoe. Let's whoop some Longhorn ass.

But what if they went to CMU? And since Conor was allegedly was on the sidelines while a scUM coach, then it's basically like they went to scUM, right? RIGHT?

Also, please remember that he was a rouge low-level staffer who no one even knew, but everyone cheers him for his effort while attempting to "distance" themself away from him because he has shamed the university.

I feel like if we knew everybody's plays before they ran them, we might have been able to win @Oregon. Michigan could've yelled the play call from the sidelines through a megaphone and it wouldn't have changed anything if our gameplan was always going to be run head first into a concrete wall, though. Guess we'll just have to accept life as the only legitimate champion in the last 2 years.

2025 NFL Draft April 24 - 26 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay

Why Are There Wooden Team Logos at the 2025 NFL Draft?

It involves a local Milwaukee artist.

Although round one of the 2025 NFL Draft doesn't kick off until 8 p.m. ET on Thursday night, we already know of an exciting design detail to be unveiled at this year's event, specifically as it relates to the Player Walkway.

Lining the hallowed passage—the path on which every prospect who is at the draft will walk before their name is called—will be handcrafted wooden logos for all 32 teams, meticulously created by Wisconsin artist Ike Wynter.

Why Are There Wooden Team Logos at the Draft?

Because the 2025 Draft is in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the NFL tapped Wynter, a local artist with a large social media following, to create a 3'x3' wooden mosaic for every team in the league. The installation is meant to honor the event's theme, "Built by Community."

Per Wynter, the league reached out after discovering his art online. "I really didn't think it was real," he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal. "The fact that [the NFL] chose a Wisconsin artist and a local artist to do a project of this significance is very humbling."

How Did Wynter Make Each Logo?

Wynter is an eco-sustainable artist, so he created each logo using entirely reclaimed wood sourced from furniture discarded around Wisconsin, per an NFL release. He spent over 500 hours transforming the scraps into the mosaics, for which he used no added paint or stain.

“To have this work be part of such a major moment for these players, and for it to represent the heart of Wisconsin, is an incredible honor,” he said. “Each piece of wood is from this community and has its own story, and I wanted to honor that by creating something meaningful without altering its natural beauty.”

is 2024 really a "rebuild year" if they lost 4+ games again in 2025? Seems more like a trend to me.

Funny thing is go over to GoBlow and they are already discussing how it's a lock that Ohio State will lose at least 3 games

OSU is so fucking overrated, there's no way they repeat.
Just because they won it last year with a 2 loss team and 20mil+ roster, that won't mean shit for '25.
'23 Michigan would have shut down '24 osu, in fact, '24 offensively anemic Michigan shut them down. The '23 team probably beats them 31-10 or something like that...in Columbus!

I do think that OSU is at a "year zero" next year. Granted, their floor of talent is very high. But Im not penciling them into the BTCG (which they havent been to since 2020 and haven't earned their way unto since 2019), let alone the playoff and the national championship games. I'd be very surprised if they repeat. Not saying it won't happen, but I don't expect it.

With everything they've lost Ohio State is not beating Texas, they're not beating Penn State, and they're drawing practically dead in Ann Arbor. The only remaining question is can they squeak into the playoffs with 3 losses. Either way this should be Ohio State's worst team since 04 (I don't count 2011). You can't lose THAT much and have a giant question mark at QB and expect to be anything special.

And new coordinators. Ohio State is basically where we were last year, but with a deeper crop of HS stars and some legitimate QB prospects. As far as proven talent, it's WRs and ???

And yet they rolled their inferior team into C-bus as a 3 TD dog and somehow won.
I so badly want to taste victory over these shitgibbons. Gotta put an end to this madness ….
Day handed them the game with his Marty McFly "I'm not chicken" gameplay. We come out like we did in the playoffs, and we absolutely cover that spread.

USC recruit Alijah Arenas in induced coma after crash, per sources

Five-star prospect and USC commit Alijah Arenas has been placed in an induced coma after he was involved in a serious car crash in the Los Angeles area early Thursday morning, sources told ESPN.

No details of the crash were immediately available. Sources told ESPN that initial tests showed no broken bones for Arenas.

Arenas, 18, is the son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas. He is the No. 13-ranked recruit in the Class of 2025.

He reclassified to the 2025 class in December then committed to USC in January. Arenas joined a Trojans recruiting class that also includes Bryce James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

Ohio State Men's Lacrosse (2025 B1G Champs)

Also noted (?) that Northwestern and Maryland were in the top 10 nationally. Mayhaps we have an 'All B10' finale? PS, does anyone remember (reading, not literally) that Lacross was an indian game originally, Iroquois seem to recollect?

NU is ladies.

It’s a good possibility that it could end up with a B1G final if someone gets hot. I’d expect B1G and Ivy in the final based on numbers and seedlings.
