Denver has been in the same open-air stadium since 2001

The Denver Broncos announced on Tuesday that they plan to build a new retractable roof stadium with Burnham Yard, a historic district of Denver, as the preferred site. The project, which will be privately funded by the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group, has a targeted completion date that would allow it to open in time for the 2031 season.

Wow a successful team/ownership privately funding a stadium. Look at that Ohio.

Right now OSU is 3-2 against power conference teams this season. The upcoming game vs. nationally ranked North Carolina could be a pivotal one. Certainly it's an opportunity for a quality win on a neutral floor, a resume-builder. If the Buckeyes could somehow win that game, that could be a springboard into next year. The conference schedule, while stocked with several games against top-25 teams, is fairly manageable and I feel with the talent on OSU's roster, they should be able to win at least 10 games in conference play this season.

Sweet 16 is too lofty but making the tourney and looking competitive should be the floor of expectations shouldn't it? I just want to see them busting ass the entire time Win or Loss be damned. Just the way I was raised and played every sport I played. I don't understand another way. Maybe thats a lot of other people too.
That's reasonable. I will say, you've sometimes got to change the culture in the program as the coach. It's pretty obvious Diebler has not had practically unlimited funds like Dusty May to add whomever he wants in the portal. But yes, you want to see the team playing all-out for 40 minutes. The fact that OSU has trailed by 10+ like every single one of their games against power conference teams this season, that's got to change. You can start by hustling for loose balls and aggressively pursuing defensive rebounds from the very beginning of the game. The fact that the team has been able to ramp up the effort and take a lead (or in the case of Illinois, tie) in the second half has been a good sign, but certainly it would be better if these guys weren't letting themselves get into a hole earlier in the game.

And how much credit does Sharon get for the absolute stupidity of having his OnlyFans favorite on the sideline at a national championship game? Tressel didn't pull that off, now did he? Of course, he is now hiding in the Lt Governor's office crafting his plans to tattoo school children in a pizza parlor somewhere. Wait...I think I veered a bit off point. I'll get back to you.

OK, so if they make the tournament this season, you're not going to advocate for firing Diebler? I would say that is a reasonable goal, but I think the hair-trigger desire to fire the coach every year after the team struggles is toxic, unreasonable and short-sighted. If you were hired to do a job, wouldn't you like a fair chance to be able to do it? I don't think if you were in Diebler's shoes you would feel that 2 years is sufficient to build your program, especially with NIL hampering recruiting efforts & some other unfortunate developments like Meechie quitting the team after 10 games last season.

I know Diebler is more than likely not getting fired this year unless maybe conference play is a catastrophic well below .500 mess. If he makes the tourney it gives me better hope going forward. If not I already know he's coming back next year but if there's not a clear improvement in year 3 then you really have to have the serious conversation about making a change.

I didn't expect a sweet 16 this year but I expected them to make the tourney without needing a selection Sunday miracle at least. That's still possible but with how things have looked so far I'm not overly optimistic
