Wow a successful team/ownership privately funding a stadium. Look at that Ohio.

Right now OSU is 3-2 against power conference teams this season. The upcoming game vs. nationally ranked North Carolina could be a pivotal one. Certainly it's an opportunity for a quality win on a neutral floor, a resume-builder. If the Buckeyes could somehow win that game, that could be a springboard into next year. The conference schedule, while stocked with several games against top-25 teams, is fairly manageable and I feel with the talent on OSU's roster, they should be able to win at least 10 games in conference play this season.

There's still the chance that Sharon turns out to be an axe-murderer and Coombs could eat out on that one for years. OK, get a free meal from Jeff at every Burger Chef he finds....maybe a steak at Bonanza?

Or maybe they finally decided to intentionally tank. Suddenly getting shutout is pretty suspicious.

That's reasonable. I will say, you've sometimes got to change the culture in the program as the coach. It's pretty obvious Diebler has not had practically unlimited funds like Dusty May to add whomever he wants in the portal. But yes, you want to see the team playing all-out for 40 minutes. The fact that OSU has trailed by 10+ like every single one of their games against power conference teams this season, that's got to change. You can start by hustling for loose balls and aggressively pursuing defensive rebounds from the very beginning of the game. The fact that the team has been able to ramp up the effort and take a lead (or in the case of Illinois, tie) in the second half has been a good sign, but certainly it would be better if these guys weren't letting themselves get into a hole earlier in the game.

I know Diebler is more than likely not getting fired this year unless maybe conference play is a catastrophic well below .500 mess. If he makes the tourney it gives me better hope going forward. If not I already know he's coming back next year but if there's not a clear improvement in year 3 then you really have to have the serious conversation about making a change.

And how much credit does Sharon get for the absolute stupidity of having his OnlyFans favorite on the sideline at a national championship game? Tressel didn't pull that off, now did he? Of course, he is now hiding in the Lt Governor's office crafting his plans to tattoo school children in a pizza parlor somewhere. Wait...I think I veered a bit off point. I'll get back to you.

OK, so if they make the tournament this season, you're not going to advocate for firing Diebler? If you were hired to do a job, wouldn't you like a fair chance to be able to do it?
