2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Have read within these posts that Diebs is not 'the guy' for us. OK, please expound. Is it the X's and O's, or the Joes? Seems like there are several Mr. Baketball(ers) on the team, and he recruited Amare, no? And now the 5* forward for next year, and yes, I know he lost the 5* guard to S. Carolina, but the recruits are buying what he's selling. So, it's the X's and O's, right? Help me understand. Probably going out on a ledge, but if tOSU performs up to where they are playing, tOSU will make the dance, on Thornton's swan song year. If that happens, believe that more (and better) recruits will step up and stay home? Wouldn't be surprised that the NIL bank will open up a bit more then, and (see prior sentence) will happen. Sounds like more of a chicken and egg thingy. Go Bucks! PS, can I assume that the playoff monies get put in a pot (like football), and split up ala football?

It's a combination of Xs and Os and it doesn't seem like he's a guy who's a great motivator and gets the most out of his players. We constantly get beat on hustle plays and there's way too many sequences where the team seems to play with a lack of intensity. This has been a issue dating back to Holtmanns disaster of a final couple of seasons.

Like Ive been saying nobody is winning a national title with this roster but the roster isn't as bad as some want to make it out to be. This at least should be a tourney team. We definitely shouldn't be losing to teams like Pitt who already are bad enough but also shorthanded in the game we lost to them in.

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, Arrogant Twatwaffles, Emasculated Cucks, Feckless Marmots, Dirty Cheaters "Mid"chigan

Well, that didn't take long.

The investigative lawfirm is on the job and has already cleared Moore of all charges related to any form of aggression towards the mistress.

Turns out he had gone to her home soley for the purpose of singing Christmas Carols. During "We wish you a Merry Christmas" he got stuck on the line - "I won't go until I get some", which she completely misunderstood.

The need for a butter knife was to cut the "figgy pudding", which may or may not have been a emphemism.

Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

The organization is an epic cluster fuck. Until they get ownership that is actually committed to building a winning team, nothing will change.

The NFL should have some sort of rules around ownership of teams who are perennial losers. You can’t get a new stadium and hence a SB or you have to sell after ‘x’ years of ineptitude.

BTW, does anyone know if there is any traction on why our comms went out during the beat down of the cheaters?

I'm sure a internal investigation by scUM has uncovered it was definitely just a coincidental "accident"

Kerry Coombs (ttun ST coach, traitor)

Does Kerry really belong here? He’s a Cincy guy who coached at OSU for a time but never attended or played for OSU and I don’t know that taking an assistant job for scUM should be enough to do more than make him casually and ignored dead to us. Putting him here with true slime like Schlichter, Barton, and Strassini seems like overkill. I think Herbstreit’s the only non-criminal here, and he’s a special kind of asshole for a host of unique reasons. Besides, if Coombs didn’t get here for thinking Tuf Borland could cover Devonta Smith one on one …
It's a story about desperation

Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

Watching the Clowns-Bears game. Clowns fans? Why do you continue to do this to yourselves? This outfit has shit on you for 26 years.

They deserve no loyalty, and besides, this isn't even the real Browns. They died in 1995. This calamity should have no connection to Paul Brown, Otto Graham, Jim Brown, Marion Motley, Bernie, etc...

QB1 Julian Sayin (All B1G, B1G Frosh of Year, All American, National Frosh of Year, National Champion)

Played Texas and didn't exactly set the world on fire.
Managed a quality game against scUM.
Had multiple questionable moments against the best defense he faced all year.

RSFrosh.

Johnny Manziel and Famous Jameis would like a word with you.

Also, we should be both level headed and encouraged by 4th place voting.

Sayin 2025 RSFrosh season.

13 279 356 78.4 3323 31 8.7 6 1.7 9.3 10.32 11.9 255.6 182.1

Sam Bradford, 2007 RSFrosh season

14 237 341 69.5 3121 36 10.6 8 2.3 9.2 10.21 13.2 222.9 176.5

Sam didn't receive a single Heisman vote. Let's be real with ourselves here, the field wasn't the strongest. You had some good players that had very efficient seasons on good to great teams.

Mendoza winning is VERY Troy Smith-esque. edit: And by that I mean he won the last game of his season, which also happened to be the biggest game of the year #1 v #2.
Nah you were supposed to say "Sayin got robbed"!!!!!

1. They don't really have worse scandals than other teams.
2. They're just worse at hiding them and their PR department is better at smoothing them over.
While OSU has their football team operating at its peak power level, the school up north's PR department is is strongest performer. They have state-level psy-ops capability with their alumni media and wealth. I believe 100% that the COI members were paid off early and often. Their "insiders" knew the outcome of the investigation and punishments at the beginning of the sign gate inquiry - because the decision makers were bought off. You could almost hear the language in the final report tiptoeing around the piles of cash received by the committee members. And their supporters in professional media were well coordinated in their public influence operation. Along with strong social media influence operations.

The fact that the firm they are hiring is the same one that investigated Sherrone a couple of months ago, and found nothing, doesn’t give me confidence that they’ll expose all the improprieties up there.

Just took a look at the firm's website. Two co managing partners. Both went to school at tsun. Yeah, this investigation is going to be absolutely legit.

The law firm is obviously hired to look for exposure to the school and to provide a legal justification to fire Warde or at least build a legal case to force him to leave without a full payout.

All these outlandish stories of scandal and corruption are deliberately being planted so as to make Moore look as bad possible and to make whomever replaces him as the new sheriff in town.
The Moore crash out is the best possible scenario for the school and they are well positioned to take full advantage. The NFL insider for ESPN (who has a dish named after him on the same school restaurant menu as Moore and the girl) took the lead in giving the position for the "Leader in Sports" network that this was an unforeseeable result of one individual with a mental illness.

Everyone involved will be paid off under cover of their legal and media machines.

QB1 Julian Sayin (All B1G, B1G Frosh of Year, All American, National Frosh of Year, National Champion)

Back to Julian. This is what I need the coaching staff and him to work on. Too many coaches complain about Young QB's being wildly unversed in putting eyes to safety play at the next level. Which is exactly why this INT happened. If Julian can get to a point of correctly getting his eyes top-down, digesting shells then starting his progressions in a non-linear way, he's going to be incredible. This should have been read out to in, as it's a concept similar to 'hank' from a bunch set.

I believe this coaching staff and Julian can mutually get him to this level. But it isn't easy and it's going to take a lot of growth over the course of the off-season. I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing some of that growth play out over the course of playoff practice and prep.

How does he finish 4th? Wtf!

A freshman will never win that award.

I will say there have been times the shortages of strength, quickness and hustle has been frustrating. Seeing these guys struggle against teams like Pitt and WVU, when guys are hesitant to shoot/lack confidence offensively and the opposing team is just outworking them has been tough to watch. I think there is an element of talent upgrades that is needed, but it obviously isn't as easy as fans like to think or else it would have been done at some point in the last 10 years.

To me tOSU press relations failed him. I’d be salty about it.

Ohio State vs. West Virginia (in Cleveland), Saturday Dec. 13, 8pm EST, ESPNU

What you said is true, although if he only averages 19 for 21 games, he’d still get 399 points and be at 2102, which would be enough.

I know, the rest of you were told there would be no math.

That’s true. I only used 21 PPG since that’s what he’s averaged this season.
