2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

There never should have been an onside kick.

The clock only ran 3 seconds for a 47-yard FG, and then the clock started late on the kickoff return. Those two plays took about 10 seconds, rather than the 8 that ran off the clock.
The clock shouldn't have run on the "kick return" there was no kick return, Georgia jumped on the ball while Ole Miss stood around with their thumbs up their butts. As the announcers pointed out during and after the kick, all they had to do was bat it out of bounds, or literally anything to get the clock started. Letting Georgia get a free recovery was the only result that didn't end with the final second ticking off.

SEC (It just means more.. even its losses are wins)

I'm so tired of trying to rationalize with these inbreds on social media. They tried to say everyone looks good when facing Rutgers, Purdue and Northwestern every season. To which I pointed out that they have Kentucky, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt taking up space at the bottom of their conference most of the time. The response was that Kentucky, Miss. St. and Vandy have more "blue chips" than Rutgers, Purdue and Northwestern. I don't even know what that means, but I hope he's not trying to say they're blue bloods, nor anything other than easy wins most seasons....

What really matters.....

I think that for some people who may not have the IRL emotional support and stability that this board is important for them when they need to reach out and vent. We're always here for them and I think that';s really positive. Like @NJ-Buckeye says, you don't know what someone is dealing with. For some people this could be their refuge from whatever crazy life they're living.

2026 tOSU Offense Discussion

I'm not talking about the number of plays. It is much easier to be efficient on offense when you keep the defense off balance and don't let them tee off on your QB every play. When you snap the ball with two seconds on the clock for the entire season, the defense doesn't even need to try to match the snap count. When you go early every once in a while, the D can't set up its stunts and blitzes. That pick-6 was a monstrosity. Every player on the defense 1) knew what play was called, and even worse 2) they knew when the ball would be snapped. Of course JJ missed the block. The defense already knew what was coming.

You can't just call the plays the same every time and expect your offense to "execute." There's 11 guys on the field whose job is to make sure your offense CAN'T execute. Day made it WAY too easy for Miami's defense.
Ok so the goal posts have been moved from tempo to timing of snap count and predictable play calling.

In other words you think it’s more likely that the difference between 24 results and 25 is Day as a play caller and not the QB, OL and RB personnel differences.

that actually makes sense to you?

CB Aaron Scott Jr. (National Champion, transfer to Oregon)

Yup, with no end in sight. NCAA keeps wanting Congress to step in, so they’re going to let all rules go out the window until it happens.
Sometimes everything needs to meltdown to it's lowest point.

It's a legal fine line, because the schools can't collude together, and how do you salary cap?

Soon unsustainable and unwatchable. Once the rivalry games get watered down and they will without a doubt, there will not be anything exciting about it.

2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

I put it on Day for calling that play in that situation. Why are you going sideways in a compressed area of the field? You just had a game altering play, keep on the attack vertically.
We really seemed to avoid short slants this year for some reason

Still think that INT is on Sayin.
Smith is placing himself in position to block for the yac, not for the guy to head straight up field for an INT. The defender wasn’t even heading towards Inniss.
Obvious, this was something that Miami saw on film.

2026 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, Arrogant Twatwaffles, Emasculated Cucks, Feckless Marmots, Dirty Cheaters "Mid"chigan

Like an Adam Sandler movie post (insert whatever year you think his movies started sucking)… the results are shitty, but hey, at least he and all his friends get a pay check and a bunch of stupid people will pay for it (with apologies to anyone who really liked Jack and Jill).

They are going to be appalled when no high level transfers (Except for maybe the ones coming from Utah/BYU and even then it would have to be seen how those guys adjust) are lining up to play for a 66 year old head coach who's spent his whole career at Utah and his staff of guys who have mostly spent their whole careers in that sphere as well.

Despite all of the offensive line problems this game hinged on one play. The pick six.

As much as I love him, Jeremiah Smith missed the critical block on that play.
Agreed, that was likelihood a 14 point swing (10 at minimum) and happened in a matter of seconds. And the missed block caused it, no getting around that. Obviously that missed block pales in comparison to what Jeremiah has done for us, but that play changed the game.

Just saw this. For those who didn’t notice, he shared this stuff with us less than an hour of it happening. That’s what this site means to many of us.

I hope the ladies in your life are doing better.

But it’s still extremely important that we beat those pricks from up north a few weeks ago!
