2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

I'm glad you feel this way, because.......and you're gonna laugh.....a while back I put you on a shady LLC registered in a state that I not only have never stepped foot in; I've also never stepped foot in a state that borders a state that borders it. And it's facing some, shall we say, undesired attention. We're cool though.

Just send me the checks when the money starts rolling in!! Cash is a little tight while I wait for the big payday for freeing that Nigerian prince.

By the way, I have been meaning to tell you...I created a business and made you part of it. Unfortunately, it was doing something that has created some risk exposure to you personally now. Sorry about that but hey, we are all friends here right? No big deal?

2026 OH RB Favour Akih is a Buckeye!!!

Really hope that he commits soon. I am anxious to see how Coach Lock and the rest of the staff develop this young man from our home state, both as a player and as a person.
Being an Ohio guy, I get probably more excited when the offensive skill players (the guys who get to score the TDs) are from Ohio. It seems like most recently, the Ohio kids have been making contributions more the O-Line and the defensive side of the ball which is all good. But looking ahead, I really hope to see Tavian St. Clair throwing dimes and guys like SWD, Bo Jackson, Jaeden Ricketts, Chris Henry, and maybe Favour Akih scoring touchdowns for the good guys.

2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

What kills me is this unflinching belief in their own innocence and victimhood. Despite massive scandals in their hockey program, baseball program, basketball program, despite their previous President leaving in disgrace and the current one loading up a U-Haul in the middle of the night, they viciously cling to the belief that their football program is as pure as the driven snow. They call us a football factory, yet we ran off two hall of fame coaches in a row for off-field issues...the latter of which wasn't even ncaa violations but just personal misjudgment. Pure projection by the most win at all costs football factory in America.
Of all the issues this whole cheating regime scandal contains, the projection aspect is the part that stands out to me as the most unbelievable. The one for one level of what is claimed as done to them versus what they do to others is too perfect to be believed. Yet time again we see that it’s true. I’ve seen nothing like it in my 62 years on this planet. I’m not gonna list all of their accusations, grievances or whiny complaints here, we’ve all seen the lists, but simple Jim and Co. have been very upfront about telling the world all their misdeeds as they carp endlessly about everybody else.
I’m tempted to say somebody should write a paper on it as a psychology study, but really there’s nothing to be learned from it other than it possibly being the most perfectly representative example of projection yet recorded in modern history.

2026 LA DL Lamar Brown (LSU Verbal)

Thought this had been solved, when tOSU had an 'heir-apparent' (who fled to Texas). Believe tOSU is reaching a point where opposing coaches are using the 'LJ is gonna retire soon' against us (still....), and the recruiting simply is not where it should be. Don't really have a solution, and apparently, neither does Day. When I look at those coaches that have been shown the door, none have attained the professional pinnacle that LJsr has. Doubt that we fanatics will ever see it, but wonder if Day has the cojones to give LJ the ultimatum of an MBO (management by objective), of getting 3 (?) 5* DL guys into the fold. Forget the DL coach's name, but appears that Texas has corralled 5 (!) DT guys from the portal this year. Maybe to keep them out of tOSU's hands?

Vacation: Beach or mountains?

Have done the drive you mention (though not from V-ville), several times with my lovely wife. Actually drove to Cambria for a combo wife b-day and Mom's day (got a twofer on that one), and did the up and back down Highway 1. Morro is beautiful, have camped there several times, and has some very good restaurants, and yeah, to an Ohioan, looks wonderful (and it is). Ps, in the winter, the hills are a verdant green. In the summer (with less water), they are called 'the golden hills of California'. That's while Ohio hills are lush and green. PS, you covered a heckuva lot of territory from VVille to Monterey and back in a weekend. Daughter did some swimming and water polo in Pismo, so have spent many a weekend there. Plenty to do, and usually run into a half dozen or so people from our town there. Too busy for me. PS, when we drive to Colorado, always go through the Tehachapi's out to Hwy 15 through Vegas to I-70 into Grand Junction. From where we are, the mountain passes through the Sierra Nevadas are still covered in snow through June-ish, so gotta go south, or north on the I-80. Sounds like some great memories!
