Interesting comment in here that the surgeon who helped save her leg was only there because she tore her ACL a few days prior.
Personally, I had shoulder surgery not so long ago. Not that I am a professional athlete by any stretch, by my surgeon used to be a doctor for the Ski and Snowboard teams. He did the repair while most others wanted to go the replacement route. I appreciate those athletes for abusing their bodies so my surgeon was able to get the necessary expertise to get me back to my activities!
