With the Brewers completing the sweep the MLB has pushed the start time back from 6 to 8. Looks like they are going to try to play it even though the weather is going to be absolutely dog shit (windy AF) even if the rain stops. Guessing since they have an unopposed time slot tonight they don't want to go up against the NFL on Sunday unless they absolutely have to
And in the back of my mind, I tumble around and wonder if NIL $ might be better spent on some transfers....guess that's way above my pay grade however.
Pierce is what he is. The coaches are SATISFIED with what he provides. He’s a high floor glue player. But he’s not elite like Sonny or Arvell. Who is ?
Not sure what you mean, but these two have been arguably the most impactful in the Defense so far this season. Having them back is crucial.
Now we should have the 3 backers as Alliegro, Pettijohn and Alford and Timmons puts our Nickel back at full strength. Against Marsh and Becker that combination is our best option.
Sorry I misunderstood; I thought you were referencing the entire defense - since you didn’t quote anything in particular but I should have realized your post followed an immediate reference to them.
I agree with you then, my bad. I think Pierce is overall just really limited as a player and his IQ/instrimct/ethic won’t outweigh it at all.
This sport is cooked. Nobody is going to watch 8-3 WVU vs 8-3 Pitt competing for a CFP Participation Trophy.
And now nobody is going to watch the blue bloods other than their own fans, because they're guaranteed to get into the CFP no matter what.
Like UGA/Bama last week for example. Completely and utterly worthless game now. I watch games like those every Saturday and have my entire life, that's done now. Over.
The TV execs played themselves. They just fucked the sport.
Poor OP could’ve avoided this all if only AI was around 20 years ago.
This thread came to mind because UAB beat ECU in over time. UAB had the ball first, and scored to go up 24-17. Then ECU threw a pick 6 and the defender actually ran it all back.
My first question in my mind was has that happened before? And if so how often?
Well instead of embarrassing myself on BP, I googled it and Gemini gave me the answer:
If you're gonna get Bey heavily involved get him in space on swing passes and normal outside run type plays. Wildcat nonsense is just asking for negative plays.
And for the love of god Bey....don't bounce everything outside. When defenders know your only move is jump cut to the outside, it's not really that great of a move.
if Coach Day doesn't have these guys frothing at the mouth after the loss last year I would severely question his coaching abilities. That alone should mean a win.
Offense: QB- OSU. WR- OSU (close though). OL- IU. TE's- So many at OSU, so IU.
Defense: DL- IU. LB- depends on who is on the field. Tie. DB's- OSU
ST: IU. Until proven different.
Obviously with the whole countable assistants going away we need a recruiter OL coach and coaching OL coach why try to find the unicorn when you can have the relatedly common of one or the other and just hire 2 of them.
