You can still hold him to the contract but refusing to let him go into the portal just looks spiteful and, again, as a player looking at UW vs anyone else, you are now going to have to explain that and why would I as the player care that you "won" the argument and enforced your contract?

Pyrrhic victory if the rest of the market isn't doing the same thing.

He did great. Brown, Smith, Marshall, Thomas, Spencer, Noah Brown, Curtis Samuel, Braxton for a year, Dixon, Hill, Olave, Campbell, Victor, Williams and even landed Wilson before he left.

Sure he didn’t land Marvin, JSN, Smith, and Emeka but yeah I think Zach Smith deserves having named the group zone 6. Very underrated group and honestly we can win it all with the kinds of kids Smith brought in. It might even be the better thing to do instead of having 1 mega star.

See what happens when you have long, clock-chewing drives that end up in 3 or no points? It only takes a couple explosive plays for the other team to get right back in it.

And that's just flat out wrong. Ole Miss got the ball back because they had 3 TOs and got a sack to put Cryami behind the chains. That had nothing to do with "going fast"
