Funny thing is, I think if IU brought in the TE that OSU did, people would be losing their minds and wondering why OSU didn't pursue the TE from OU. Its all perception at this point. Cig prefers the Portal to HS recruiting, but he's not pursuing top, high star guys(outside of Marsh). The TCU QB is not a player that OSU would be interested in, none of the IU WRs would OSU be interested in, Zen Michalski was cast off from OSU and was a running joke of recruiting OL failures, and now he could win an NC as their starting OL. Roman Hemby is their starting RB, but no one would even want him over CJ Donaldson or James Peoples let alone Bo.What I gather is Cig is a full steam ahead kind of guy. He knows which players he wants and he showed that by locking up 7+ guys on the first day or two.
What’s underrated about IU is Cigs culture. These players are going to buy in. I heard about their brutal winter workouts etc. most off season programs are hard but from what I’ve heard IU has a very tough one.
I have to say, Coach Cig seems to have a better grasp on who he is and what he wants to do compared to even Ryan Day who’s one of the best out there.
You haven’t seen Cig make wild over over corrections based on previous issues. He just continues within his process and on he goes.
We’ll see how he does without his coordinators one day, without his JMU players, and with continuous turnover but so far he’s been aces every single time.
It was mine as well before last year.. smarter people than me said after the shadow payments were neutralized it’s not coming back. I only w concern myself with the Bucks a loss to Alabama Georgia or Indiana or Miami is still a loss.Oh I'm with you, I understand my viewpoint is completely selfish, irrational, and based on unfounded fear of the future. Still my viewpoint though.
We won a natty beat scUM. Did players leave because of playing time or development. I don’t think the staff was surprised by anyone that left even if fans and ‘insiders’ were. TOSU will field a competitive team next year. The handwringing after last year was overdone.,Pretty damn good reloading year.

Fuck parity, I wanna see the historical giants go at it, and the fact that it benefitted my favorite team more than others is absolutely part of that. Nothing could possibly interest me in natty between ole miss and Indiana.
For the record, all the changes that allowed this parity shift were absolutely needed, and college football is better for it in principle.
Doesn't change the fact that I hate what it's done to OSUs position.
Was looking forward to Scott contributing on a high level next year. But such is life.
Love how we will get to hear for weeks about how overrated Ohio State was but you won't hear a peep of the same about Georgia who just got beat in their own backyard by a team that had a coach who was coaching his 2nd ever game as a head coach.
a really long damn time ago, yes.I saw someone mention that Tulane was once an SEC team.
