Isn't the point of money laundering to show that you recieved money for performing a service that you never performed?

Sort of the opposite of performing services for no money or in exchange for trinkets.

So your suggesting that by cooperating he is telling the Feds everyplace he spent his money? Thats what they want? His form of money laundering was buying stuff from players then selling it? That makes sense I guess but money laundering in the world of AML is usually tracked to find larger crime rings....the only reason to launder money is to hide it because it was earned through illegal activity...in other words money laundering is the symtom not the disease....feds would be looking up not down

Yes,and it will have a domino effect. I'm not tying into anything with OSU though. Obviously,the cash for 200lbs of pot would seem like an easy place to go with the next step. You aren't laundering money just to have one big drug score and get out imo.

That would make sense, had Rife not had his whole tatt shop full of the shit he bought proudly on display. In other words, he bought the shit because he wanted to show how he was connected, not to launder money. I know you know this, just wanted to inform...others...that may not be clear.
