With all due respect, Gator, I'm not sure we're in a good position to really know what Cicero's motivation truly was.
That is true Max. I assumed that it was an ex-buckeye player trying to give the coach a "heads up" - with the self serving dap that tressel "owed him one" that might show up in anything from bragging to friends to hitting him up for tickets, sideline pass, autographed picture, whatever.

So while what you say is true Max, it is hard to see it as some sort of malicious act.

People are going to dig for anything and everything in these cases, but this seems like classic sloppy ambulance chasing by internet bloggers. It shows why yahoo is unfortunately a sharp difference in this era of tabloid journalism.

They sold gear legally from the school. Unless this can be shown to be unrelated to that, it just looks like one of many OSU merchandise resellers that flip these items for a living.

No bigger Gee supporter than me, but that was the stupidest fucking thing that's ever come out of his mouth.

As I said a few days ago, I love Gee as our President, but he should never ever be permitted to speak about anything related to OSU athletics: It's like Dukakis sitting on that tank very time.

Wasn't there that random rumor that came up not long ago about Tressel being fired or stepping down? IIRC, the source was just a random, untrustworthy blog, so that was quite unreliable. It's quite likely coincidental, but it's something I just thought of.:oh:

Everything from that game was auctioned off for charity.
Exactly. I remember they were having trouble selling the game-worn pants from that game and they put out a APB out to the public, trying to raise money for charity.

Real journalism. Look into it, Brooks.
