Nice choice Ray!:oh:

Looking forward to seeing lots more of these in 2009:

I like Ray. But he's the only person I know who is almost a Senior in college, and hasn't gotten faster since high school. I think that's the reason for his running style. He expects to be able to outrun everybody, but his speed just hasn't progressed much.

make Ray earn #4 back, and give him opportunitites to motion into the backfield. Ray could be a great asset as a swing back, or outside runner.

He is explsoive enough to get more looks than just a slot receiver. He neees to be used creatively.

The possibilities are endless! Needless to say, I think the WR core is the least of my worries for '09

I know people (myself included) are very excited about the youth movement at WR. Lots of potential studs in the freshman and soph class next year...but Ray coming back is awesome IMO. Maybe, just maybe he'll figure it all out for his senior year and really be the guy we all had hoped he could be for OSU. That would give me some serious warm fuzzies! :)

Way to go Ray...great decision. :oh::io:

Great choice, Ray!

I think Small could have a huge year in 2009 if he keeps his head on straight and plays up to his potential.
Been saying that the last two years, hopefully this is finally the year it happens. He has the tools, just needs to put it all together.

receiver Ray Small told WBNS-TV in Columbus he would be back. Small's father, Ken, said Wednesday night that Ray has changed his mind several times but was 90 percent certain at the moment he would return in 2009.

The decision for Small, disgruntled after a two-game suspension earlier this year, appears personal as well.

"He definitely wants that degree," Ken Small said. "He'd be the first Small boy with a degree. That would mean a lot."

Ken Small said his previous anger about what he believed to be unfair treatment of his son by the coaching staff was in the past and not a major factor in this decision.

"Let's forget about it," he said. "We want to get back to the national championship."
