I was really hoping he could've got that one return into the endzone. Oh well, maybe next year.

Small makes big play in Ohio State victory
BLADE STAFF
COLUMBUS - Ohio State junior receiver Ray Small figured out the best way to get out of coach Jim Tressel's doghouse is to just run out. Small's 80-yard punt return late in the third quarter got the Buckeyes out of a deep hole and set up their fourth touchdown against Michigan, and might have put Small back in good graces.
Small, who was stripped of his number earlier this year for violations of team rules, got suspended a couple weeks ago for reportedly missing class and showing up late for team meetings. His father spoke out at the time, publicly accusing the Ohio State coaching staff of "blowing" his son's career and his chances of playing professional football.
Tressel reinstated Small following last week's game at
Illinois, the second contest the Cleveland Glenville product had missed.

WR Small To Return For Senior Year
Tuesday, January 13, 2009 6:08 PM
COLUMBUS, Ohio ? Ohio State wide receiver Ray Small will return to the team for his senior year, 10TV's Dom Tiberi reported on Tuesday.
Small's decision came ahead of Thursday's deadline set for college football underclassmen to decide whether or not they will seek entry into the National Football League.
Small said he feels that he can make a difference by being in the Buckeye lineup next season.
"Most definitely I'm coming back to get my degree and play another year of football," Small said. "After the year I had last year, it was a big learning experience. I feel like this year I'm a senior and I can make a difference on the team."
Junior receiver Brian Hartline and junior defensive back Donald Washington told 10TV that they hope to have an announcement Wednesday regarding their futures.
