Sanzenbacher Still Strong for Toledo, But Stronger for O-H-I-O.

In his three years at Ohio State, wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher has learned to hate everything blue and gold.
It?s just part of the culture in Columbus, but it wasn?t always that way for the junior who leads the Buckeyes with 115 receiving yards this season. A product of Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic, Sanzenbacher spent his youth watching the University of Toledo and even considered wearing the Rockets? midnight blue and gold before opting instead for scarlet and gray.

"I mean, it's Toledo. You've got the Mud Hens, you've got Tony Packo's and you've got the Rockets,? Sanzenbacher said.
?That's pretty much what you've got, so I mean, I grew up seeing games in the Glass Bowl and Bruce Gradkowski and ?Scooter? McDougle and all those guys."
Sanzenbacher even played against current UT quarterback Aaron Opelt ? who leads the nation in total offense ? during his state-championship junior season at Central Catholic, and now he will get a chance to play against his hometown team Saturday when the Buckeyes face off against the Rockets at Cleveland Browns Stadium in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
?It is a little bit different,? Sanzenbacher said of this week?s feel.
?Just growing up around Toledo, growing up going to the Glass Bowl and watching Toledo play and just knowing guys on the team, it brings a different element to it.?
