Game Thread Wisconsin at tOSU, Oct 29th, 8 pm ET, ESPN

I hope we beat Bucky the same way they beat us last year; run it down their throats. A couple big plays from special teams and a couple pick 6s and badaboom badabing there you go. :sneaky:

You have to think that after last week's debacle that Bulimia will be drilling special teams 'til they puke.

Peek at the helmets to go with the Pro Combat unis for this game.

I don't want to start something...but, from this limited view...not a fan. *sigh* These goddamn pro combat unis...fuck that.

Very similar to the 1961 helmets. While I definitely prefer our current ones, I like this one...

No pronouncements from me. But I can't see our current offensive coaching staff devising a game plan that can get us much more than 300 yards against any BCS-level competition. So we better be able to get great field position if we want to win.

Actually, we threw it around quite a bit against Akron in the opener. Yeah, I know, it's Akron, but my point is that hopefully with Miller who is more accurate and mobile, and with Boom back to provide a better running threat, I can see us moving the ball. This offense will not be stagnant for the rest of the year...

Jim Bollman?

I guess I missed the memo saying he wasn't the OC for the Akron game or when Miller threw the TD passes to Stoney. I think he throttled the offense way back when Bauserman started stepping all over his dick and Miller wasn't throwing well yet. Couple that with the offense's solid performance at Nebraska until Miller's injury, and the wind at Illinois which all but forbade Miller to throw, and you can't really fault Bollman all that much. The weather forecast for gameday--although its five days from now--shows its not going to being windy or rainy, so we should be able to turn Miller loose passing-wise.

Even when the offense was moving well against Nebraska, we weren't passing much. Meanwhile Wiscy is more physical than Nebby and hence matches up better against us than a relatively un-physical Nebby. That concerns me.

Wisconsin is a shell of their defense from last year, largely because he is a texan, and had major issues dropping both facets of MSU's offense.

This.

They've posted inflated numbers by facing some downright incompetent offenses (see: Oregon State). I've said it all along, the secondary is ripe for the picking. They got exposed against MSU. I'm not looking forward to Saturday night.

The thing that pi$$es me off most about this game is that I wanted "US" to be the ones to ruin their season, hence alot of the rude comments I made last saturday. They took us out at #1 last year, wanted to make this one hurt.:oh:

Anyway, blame it on the "scarlet colored glasses" but I believe somehow TOSU finds a way to win this game. The way I see it, first team to 16 wins. Kinda like:

TOSU- 16
Wisky- 13

Peace :io:

I was in Chicago this past week for job interviews. Lots of Wisconsin students interviewing for the same positions. I was very impressed with their knowledge of our team and the upcoming matchup. Had some very good conversations about college football in general.

I know, one in a million, right?
