The blowouts and shooting slumps havnt helped.
Buford looks like he's shooting with more confidence now. I believe he's hit 2, 3, & 3, 3-pointers in the last 3 games.
Matta left him in later than any other starter against Penn State. I think they're both thinking about the record, and that could be the problem.
Buford needs a couple 25-35 point games in there mixed with a steady 14-18 every other game.
If we play the max 40 games, I think he still has a shot.
If he doesn't reach the record, I would at-least like to see him reach the 2,000 mark, which I think he'll do, barring an early exit in both tournaments.
Hopefully he have a similar thread for Deshaun in a couple years. If he sticks around for 4 years, he'll be right there with Buford. Deshaun could potentially put up 1200-1400 points over his Jr and Sr seasons.
