I second the award.

Can anyone give us an update on what is going on over there? My IP was apparently banned. Are they talking trash now that conley didn't verbal? A ton of them said beforehand that they become the leaders if he doesn't verbal immediately, which is of course absurd... as none of us would say that in the boren situation.

bfs.....actually they appear to be spending as much time in-fighting over the idea of pre-banning users as they are talking basketball....

without even going over there, the mere threat of a board takeover at least made them examine their own board in a way they never had before....

and that is the whole point of our board takeovers anyways.....to make them rethink the way they are operating....

in a way, this could be called a battle won without firing a shot....

They can't accept taht Matta is a highly regarded coach all across teh nation, wheras MANY question Skip's ability after falling short many times now. Wake Flamers that are reading this board, please explain how you lost to WVU?

Someone needs to make them a medal for Wake Forest covering these topics:
Best basketball school that:
- Have not won a title
- Lost their only final four appearance
- At best are third place in their state
- Their tough academics are what any good basketball player wants
- Only wake has the great students/players who will be real swell friends
- Only wake can help them through their academics
- The reputation of our opponents makes us good
- Our 6 tourney appearances since 99 without much success are clearly better than OSU's 4 appearances since 99 including a Final Four

easy question to answer. I was at the game. they just got completely out coached. It was pathetic. Not only did they have Chris Paul, but their big guy (Williams) was the most dominant player in Cleveland that weekend, and he might have played 3 minutes in the second half. WVU had to sit Pittsnogle in the first half because he couldnt guard the guy. What does Prosser do? Fuckin leaves his ass on the bench the whole half.

I left Cleveland with 2 things that week. Allen Iverson can straight up play basketball....and Prosser can't coach worth shit.

Were the envious ones informed that Matta went and picked up O/C from Indy and drove them all the way back to Columbus? If not, I'd love to hear their reaction to that bit of info.

Yes, Hickam's brief stay was entertaining. I've long since given up trying to proselytize among the heathens... unless I get a second wind, I guess. I get the distinct impression from over there that most of them cannot conceive of the fact that some cow-college football school from OHIO, of all places... might have a top-flight basketball program as well. Same goes for academics. OSU's big, therefore, it must also be a haven for morons. I thought a liberal education was all about opening a mind to new ideas, developing the capacity for independent and critical thought.... That board has proven me wrong

A Wake Education... apparently a waste of $120,000 (assuming you finish in 4 years)


Edit: I'm a bit surprised that we haven't gotten any response over here. Especially with all the vitriol they've been spewing (Matta's a negative recruiter... OSU pays its players.... waah waah waah).

Actually, not that bad. Now, had they pointed out in writing that they indeed were a top 5 team last year (like I was fucking paying attention to Wake Forest), then I was fucked. But, like I give a shit...if I got their panties in a knot, even for a second, it was worth it.

Next time I'll try to register as my actual MililaniBuckeye account (and I'll make sure the next web page I use as a reference is a little more current). :biggrin:
