Yeah -- and they are bigger and stronger and they'll grab away your ball, and beat you round the ears, they'll give you a wedgie that needs surgery to remove and leave you twist-tied without your clothes in your locker, without your lunch money ... over the weekend :roll2:

Sheesh -- I firmly blame this on too many liberal artists at WFU, hence, a lack of a strong academic structure.
While at tOSU we stress virile pursuits such as engineering, animal husbandry and agricultural development.

Why do they think that the ACC is so much better than the Big 10? The big 10 had 2 final four and teams and they both proved that they could hang with North Carolina. They also think that Wake Forest is the best basketball school in the world, but they haven't done anything. If Wake is so good, then how did they lose to West Virgina?

It's pretty depressing.

Their standard defense is now "Look how many NBA players prosser has created!!" As though the players themselves had nothing to do with it. And as though Matta is totally incapable of developing talent...

I'm getting lonely over there (and you KNOW i'm not good at holding up our end of an argument... ) any word on when reinforcements will arrive?

I fought this argument at first. Then I thought about the situation. Here is now how I feel...

Why should we care what they think. They live in their own little world where they actually think that they are good. I see them as the little half retarded kid on the block. You know, the one who has all the encouragement in the world from his family, and suddenly thinks he is great. Simply do what all big, talented people do. Encourage them, let them play and feel good about themselves. Pat them on the head and tell them how proud you are of them. Then walk away knowing that you did a good dead for a poor little kid with no talent.

Would you beat up that kid? No, let them go. Let them think they are great. Humor them, and let them think that way. Then walk away feeling better about yourself knowing you helped someone less fortunate.

Wake Forest is a great university with a storied tradition in basketball. How dare we even consider otherwise? :ohwell: :frown2:

I only wonder if it might be arranged that they play a game with the Buckeyes, just so we can learn from the storied collective wisdom of their game, up close you know...Oh and by the way, fancy, a little wager WF boys, just so we keep it interesting, say you give us ten points, eh? We're just a bunch of hayseeds, barely literate and all, and well we just need a little margin here so the guys aren't totally overwhelmed and still feel like there's a chance...

OH, I do hope we get a shot at these candy asses!

I can't wait to hear the announcers talk about all of teh NC's Wake Forest has won... oh wait, no they don't have any. Well at least they've been to the final four a lot... oh wait, no just once. Perhaps they did well that time? Nope... they got smoked by some team from Columbus.

They have to piggyback on their rivals' success (duke & UNC) to establish themselves.

Oh and for anyone unfamiliar with the situation, a bunch of us went over there and were pretty polite until we got sick of having most of the posters flame and bash Matta, OSU, etc especially considering how little they've accomplished. It just further confirmed that board's lack of class when a moderator not only did nothing but joined in the Matta-must-be-cheating whines.

Vpr is doing pretty good over there so far. I love how they posed the question to him who he would chose if he were a 17 year old who wanted academics and to go to the NBA, Matta or Prosser.

Apparently those are the only 2 factors in deciding where to go to school. :roll1:

Actually, after watching Prosser get completely out coached against WVU, my choice would be Matta 11 times out of 10.

What's funny is that, from the moment we became a legitimate threat to get Oden and Conley, Wake posters started bashing our program. They were posting that Matta pays players and started calling us O$U, etc. The moderators on their site are a joke and they not only allow these false allogations to be thrown around, but they participate in fueling the fire.

Our fans were just happy to have a shot with these recruits and were content to lurk their board for news until we ran into the public libeling of our program. I remember going back to Bucknuts and not seeing any negative posts about Wake Forest. Since then, Buckeye fans have flocked over to defend our school. The first wave generally was reasonable and tried to point out their erroneous assumptions...When that was met with disrespect and flaming, things got out of hand from both sides of the fence.

I will be the first to admit that the Bucknuts football posters get out of hand, can be obnoxious and have bashed programs such as USC much the same way we have been bashed by Wake. The basketball posters, for the most part, are very respectful and are true fans rather than the bandwagoners that enjoy flaming during the good times. This has done nothing but make each University look bad, because lost is the fact that it was started by them.

Being on the Wake board long before this recruitment, I honestly expected a great deal more. I figured that Wake would be happy to be in on these recruits and would at least be respectful to our program. After all the crap they've talked about us, they immediately dismiss all attempts to defend our program's honor and then have the nerve to trash us for feeling hostile towards them.

I know some of them are reading this...If you are a Wake fan, I encourage you to register on this site and have some serious conversation. I think you'll find how childish and envious it is to trash a school, just because they are competing with you. We'll hold rational conversation with anyone and we have mods with some integrity when it comes to users posting blatant lies.

The Wake board is another example of our society and it's refusal to accept any form of responsibility for one's own actions....

That board flat out libels and bashes tOSU, it's coaches, it's players and it's fans that visit their board.....then when confronted about it, they throw their hands up and say "who me."

If they want to go with this, I will approach scout directly and demand that their involvement and ownership be brought to question.....they own the board, but they still have to adhere to scouts guidlines.....

I ask that whoever the head dog over there is has the cajones to come over here and we will settle this via PM's......
