Urban F. Meyer (Former OSU, CFB and NFL coach)

I think it's more about 1-upping Saban at this point. He'll likely never catch him in College Championships with his propesenity to burn out but if he can succeed where Saban didn't in the NFL that's a huge feather in his cap
If I were Meyer, I'd try to go to USC and win a Championship. With Nattys from 3 P5 Conferences, he seals himself as the G.O.A.T.

And yeah, I guess TX would work too but I could stomach him winning at USC a little easier.

Eh if he goes anywhere in college that likely means he takes some of our coaches/support staff. While pros means less of a chance of him trying to bring his guys

I have no doubt he could do that, too. Might take a few years, but he would win.

I just... am not sure the juice is worth the squeeze. I know what I would do. Enjoy my cushy Fox gig, enjoy life, and live as Mr Buckeye and as a king of Columbus. But dude is built different. Might need the competition.

Would he be one of the only coaches (if he could do it) to win Nattys at three different schools, in three different conferences?

Urban will. And he'll lose more games next year than he did the entire 7 years he was here.

I can see him missing the competition but I don't know if this gig will make sense to me any time soon.
Eh. You lose a game at Ohio State or Florida and you have to wonder if the season is lost. The Giants might make the playoffs with 10 Ls. A loss in the NFL isn't as stressful as at a CFP contender.

I think he and Saban are the only two to win Nattys at two different schools.

That's true, but he'll have to change the way he's been wired for the better part of two decades (at least) to accept that.

Agree, both that he could and that it's not really worth it.

I'd enjoy my grandkids and the easy life at Fox. He's pretty obviously held in awe by the guys there and is great at it.

Still, if I was him, rather than roll the dice in the NFL, I'd kick some new butt in the PAC12. How hard can that be?
