University of Wisconsin football (59-0: Deal With It ... or Quit)

I've said for the last 10 years that Wisconsin was quickly replacing TSUN as my most hated team in the B1G. scUM I laugh at now...dropping 59 on Bucky wasn't enough. I wanted UFM to go for 2 dammit. Fuck Bucky.
A lot of my loathing of Bucky has been tied to their coaches. I hated Alvarez. Loathed Bert. Fuck that Grinch-lookin' basketball geezer. I had no problem with Andersen as he seemed like a nice enough guy. They need to bring in another loathsome douchebag. It's who they are...

Considering that niether Wisky or scUM should be looking at first-time head coaches, they are now left to cripple-fight each other for the biggest fish in an ankle-deep pool of experienced candidates? That's just about as perfect as it gets for me.

Seems simple enough to me.....Winner gets Kiffen (winner?); loser gets Weis.......

Are the admission standards at Wiscy higher than at OSU and scUM? I figured they'd be pretty equal, but I guess not.

It's not the admissions standards per se, rather it's that UW-Madison policy dictates athletes should be able to qualify academically on their own merit and be competitive with the rest of their incoming class. That's not to say they're getting only Northwestern-type kids, but the borderline kids they do take will have a real college workload and won't be stashed in the kinesiology program. They might take a flyer on two or three kids per recruiting class, but not 10-15 like other schools will.

That depressing thing is that Wiscy could hire Bo Pelini and it'd probably be the best of the hires in this conference. :smash::smash::smash::smash::smash:

Disclaimer: And I don't mean that in the sense that Corn shouldn't have gone in a new direction. But Riley?

This doofus is leaving Madison for freakin' Corvallis, Oregon.

wtf

Have you ever been to Oregon? It might not have all the excitement and water sports featured on the isthmus of Madison - but it's a pretty beautiful place with the mountains and rivers surrounding it.
It's 90 minutes to Portland, 4 hours to Seattle and a days drive to San Fran. It's a very nice place to live and raise a family.

Oregon's great. Lived there almost 8 years.
Corvalis is alright. Nothing to steer a person to it or from it.
However, the biggest thing for non-native Oregonians is the inordinate amount of rain. You're looking at solid downpours from at least November (sometimes much earlier) through May and often into June.
It's a shitload of grey.

the rainfall in Oregon is blown out of proportion.
Corvallis gets about 20" less rain per year than most of the Gulf Coast.

We just don't bitch about it because we're not West Coast pussies.
