News flash, it's never the right time to go to Michigan...So he was being criticized so he should have left? They won the NC the following year I think that he knew it wasn't the right time.

Per this article he had out clauses for only Ohio State and Notre Dame, so not Michigan.
But to be fair, this one says Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State were in his Utah contract.
Ryan Perrilloux
5* QB from Louisiana who went to LSU, got booted after "violations of team rules", transferred to Jacksonville State, bounced around the UFL, Arena League, etc. If you want to read his whole story, click HERE.
He played briefly against Ohio State in the 2007 BCS Championship Game.
Fairly simple math, right?
TOSU > ND > tsun > Utah
TOSU > ND > UofF > tsun.
He merely made it high enough in his pecking order such that tsun could be discarded like an old sock.
This might be the greatest testament to how bad of a head coach Bob Davie was: He had Urban Meyer, Greg Mattison, Dan Mullen, Charlie Strong, Steve Addazio, and a host of other pretty good guys on staff like Bill Sheridan and he never fared better than two 9-3 seasons.
No way.Is there any way that the Michigan fanbase can blame Kirk Herbstreit for Urban Meyer not going there?

Bob Davie did a great deal of work to put the skids under Lou and get himself promoted for a position he wasn't ready to assume. If you do that you end up with a staff that doesn't have your back either.
