ttun News (2016 version)

I suppose there were doubters that he could truly be terrible. They were proven wrong.

beat me to it

I'm picturing an old HS guidance counselor pissed off saying "I doubt there would ever be a college football program in America dumb enough to let you play QB for them. They'd have to let some crazed autistic fucker be the coach and we all know there's no program that desperate. You should consider a vocational career. Now get out of my office you useless twat waffle."

One time he found his helmet in time for the next play?

So I looked through the last couple of pages and noticed a ton of scUM bashing... Enjoyed it...

But now that the first game has come and passed, and now that Speight has firmly established himself as a starter, what do you guys think about the scUM prospects this year? theozone had a M*ch*gan Monday article every Monday after a scUM game last year, but that hadn't been published yet today. Don't know if it is going to be.

Who is this Chris Evans kid? Had 112 yards on the ground at nearly 15 yards a pop.

He's a legit RB from Indy that had an OSU Offer (iirc). They had nothing at RB so his presence already makes them better.

As far as Speight well, let's just see how it looks after Penn State and Wisky which will be the first two defenses with a pulse he sees.

I think that their problem is that they don't get by Ohio State and maybe Sparty and another. Next year looks great for them, but it looks better for the Buckeyes. Hairball departs.

I'd cool my jets on Chris Evans for Heisman based on one game vs. Hawaii. Using that logic, we should be prepping Demario McCall for New York.

Evans had a good game, but he had a 43 yard run up the middle for a TD where he showed good burst, but went untouched. He'll be a good one down the line, maybe pretty good this year. But I'd wait to see how he does against a real team before being worried about him. At least this year as a true freshman.

He's an excellent athlete that badly coveted an OSU offer (and for awhile, they were sure he'd flip if OSU offered). They finally came through late, though I believe it was as a DB. He stuck with Michigan.

Unlike the 90s Wisconsin style tailbacks they had on their roster before, he brings explosiveness and versatility. Naturally we'll need to see how it looks against a legitimate team (much like the McCall comparison above) but he already has more potential than the rest of their tailbacks put together. (ignoring some of their sophomores who have played sparingly)

I posted somewhere on here that I thought he would flip when offered by OSU. He was one of my favorite players in last years class and would have hated to lose him to you guys. He's just scratching the surface kid is legit. I still don't love Speight at QB, hope he makes me a believer.

Ya know, as much I enjoy watching TSUN fail and suffer on the football field, I can think of no better way to conclude the regular season than by not only defeating them again, but destroying their play off dreams on a cold afternoon in Columbus. This year's edition of, "The Game," could very well ve the best since 2006!!
