I like the part about Speight "proving his doubters wrong again"
When has the kid ever "proved" his doubters "wrong"? He was awful in the limited action he has seen at scum
Methinks that the dude should go back and look up at the scoreboard to see the whopping 13 points Michigan put on the board...he picked apart three top-10 pass defenses in a row from Penn State (8th), Ohio State (4th), and Florida (7th)

I suppose there were doubters that he could truly be terrible. They were proven wrong.
One time he found his helmet in time for the next play?

...old HS guidance counselor pissed off saying "I doubt there would ever be a college football program in America dumb enough to let you play QB for them. They'd have to let some crazed autistic fucker be the coach and we all know there's no program that desperate. You should consider a vocational career. Now get out of my office you useless twat waffle."
So I looked through the last couple of pages and noticed a ton of scUM bashing... Enjoyed it...
But now that the first game has come and passed, and now that Speight has firmly established himself as a starter, what do you guys think about the scUM prospects this year? theozone had a M*ch*gan Monday article every Monday after a scUM game last year, but that hadn't been published yet today. Don't know if it is going to be.
Who is this Chris Evans kid? Had 112 yards on the ground at nearly 15 yards a pop.
I'd cool my jets on Chris Evans for Heisman based on one game vs. Hawaii. Using that logic, we should be prepping Demario McCall for New York.So I looked through the last couple of pages and noticed a ton of scUM bashing... Enjoyed it...

He's an excellent athlete that badly coveted an OSU offer (and for awhile, they were sure he'd flip if OSU offered). They finally came through late, though I believe it was as a DB. He stuck with Michigan. He's a legit RB from Indy that had an OSU Offer (iirc). They had nothing at RB so his presence already makes them better.
As far as Speight well, let's just see how it looks after Penn State and Wisky which will be the first two defenses with a pulse he sees.

Unlike the 90s Wisconsin style tailbacks they had on their roster before, he brings explosiveness and versatility. Naturally we'll need to see how it looks against a legitimate team (much like the McCall comparison above) but he already has more potential than the rest of their tailbacks put together. (ignoring some of their sophomores who have played sparingly)
