2023 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Thinking coaches think someone possibly 2 might be leaving?
Shoot, it's always a possibility these days but I'm guessing Stover comes back and not even sure he wants to play in the league to be honest. That would be at least 4 on the roster not counting Thurman. Considering usage I wouldn't think we need more than 4 or 5 scholarship guys. I don't know though

I love Stover as much as anyone... "no guts, no glory" kinda of guy. We desperately need that kind of leadership on this team right now.

That said, is he the prototypical TE this offense needs? He wasn't really getting manhandled after the bye week. I know he was playing with injuries, but he still looked a bit lost sometimes out there on blocking assignments tbh.

It takes a while to sort the technique out because it's different blocking DBs than it is tackles and DEs
I'm not sure Wilson was the best instructor in that regard but going back and forth for Stover didn't help his development Im sure. Gee Scott needs more too. TE is the most dynamic position on the field and to be great at it you need to be a freak or a supreme worker with time to get there.

Keenan Bailey has been the guy actually doing the TE coaching this year, though. Right?

The 5-foot-9, 200-pound running back had a highly productive career at Massillon Washington High School, where he broke the school’s single-season rushing record with 2,042 rushing yards in 2022. He’s Massillon’s career leader in rushing yards per game (132.8) while he ranks second in school history in career rushing yards (3,983) and rushing touchdowns (53).
