tOSU Recruiting Discussion

1) The Ohio State staff welcomed in a talented group of 2023, 2024 and 2025 recruits for unofficial visits this weekend. The visit weekend included the Buckeyes’ spring practice on Saturday morning which was mentioned to me as one of the highlights by many of the recruits.

One thing I heard in particular from a number of the recruits was how the position coach for the recruit invited the recruit over off the sidelines to watch individual drills up close and explain how the drill worked and why the drill was being done. The recruits definitely were impressed with that and more than one mentioned to me that had not happened during any other visit/practice they had previously been to. They said that was much better than just standing on the sidelines and watching things and they appreciated the Ohio State coaches doing that.

Another thing I heard from a number of recruits was how at Ohio State they talked to not just their position coach and Ryan Day, but while at Ohio State they were introduced to and talked with most if not all of the Buckeye coaching staff. The recruits again said this was different from most other visits if not all the other visits they had been on, and they really liked it.

Just sayin': I think the rest of the article is a VIP thing; however, the above information is nice to know.

Everyone's favorite recruiting expert Bill Kurelic (aka 50-50 Bill) is guesstimating again....
1. Carnell Tate...I would go with Ohio State. BUT Tennessee is the only visit Tate has set.
2.Dante Moore... I would go with Notre Dame. BUT it's very difficult to ever count the Buckeyes out.
3.Austin Siereveld...I would go with Ohio State. BUT Notre Dame is a threat, especially when it comes to OL recruiting
4.Brandon Inniss...I would go with Ohio State. BUT Inniss will go through the whole recruiting process so there's plenty of time to change.
5.Kayin Lee...I would go with Ohio State...BUT many big-time schools are coming after him and he will continue visits.
6. Joshisa Trader...I would go with Ohio State...BUT hard to ever count Alabama out..and others.

Kinda encouraging I guess...or kinda disappointing, I can't decide.

Two big visitors tomorrow that I haven't seen discussed much here before that would greatly enhance OSU Def. Back recruiting...

1. 2023 db Dijon Johnson from Tampa,Fla. is 6'1,190 with 4.5 speed. He's a 4* who had 6 int. last year and took 4 of them to the house.
faves include Okla.,USC, and Ga.
2.K.J. Bolden from Buford,Ga. (Harry Miller's alma mater) is an ATH. that excels at both WR and S. He's a 5* class of 2024. Has recorded a 10.76 100m
at the state meet. Also competes in the triple jump. Ga. and Bama are recruiting.
Both these guys will be in Columbus and hopefully will be impressed.
