My list and explanations:
QB: Joe Burrows
QB: Torrance Gibson (he falls in love everywhere he goes and that is why we are not currently the "leader"...however, once he gets to Columbus and meets with UFM to see how he fits in our offense, game over...only thing preventing him ending up in Columbus is if the staff decides not to pursue imo)
RB: LJ Scott (sooner rather than later...if for some reason he says no, Weber)
RB: Damien Harris (Urbs is personally handling his recruitment and you can tell Harris is very, very high on us...we are going to make this happen regardless of any other player we get here)
WR: Van Jefferson (I'm not convinced we get him but we are right there and I am not sure who else we would get)
WR: Christian Kirk (again, not positive on Kirk, as it could be us or A&M...we need a really strong official and maybe if the wheels fall off in the fall for A&M without Johnny Football it helps us...plus A&M is seeing a mass exodus of WRs after taking a million of them in the last couple classes, so that maybe helps)
WR/ATH: Nyheim Hines: (pure speculation, we might be aiming to take a more pure WR...I think Kirk or EGW is our "Harvin"...this spot could go any which way, especially if we don't get Kirk or Jefferson)
TE: Chris Clark (I'm feeling fairly confident here if we get another visit...UFM will apply the pressure and get him here...if not, I think Boykin is a future TE and he could be an option...if we miss there, I wonder if we pursue Conrad...could also pursue Jackson Harris)
OT: Drew Richmond (it has been awfully quiet for him but we have been the leader for some time now)
OT: Grant Schmidt (my darkhorse but he is camping this weekend and is a VERY talented player...would love to see him in this class)
OG/OT: Patrick Allen (very high on us and we've been the consistent leader for some time...hopefully he camps with us in July and commits then...could play guard or tackle)
OG/C: James Daniels (the lone Ohio guy in the class and while I think he plays center, he looks to have almost grown to tackle size...either way, hope he commits soon)
*OG/OT: Matthew Burrell: (he is obviously very interested in us and honestly, he may be more likely to commit soon than anyone on this list)
DE: Josh Sweat (more of a wishlist guy but we are clearly in the mix...my favorite DL of the class and hopefully we get him...Austin Clark is in this category as well)
DE: Darius Fullwood (sooner rather than later)
DE/DT: Jashon Cornell (seems like we made a major move and I think we beat out MSU if that is truly his other top choice...starting to look more like a DT to me)
DT: Quay Piqou (much higher on Quay than I am on Taylor...I don't see any of the higher targets like CeCe Jefferson, Tuttle, etc. coming here)
LB: Justin Hilliard (we've been relentless here and I think we receive a commitment by the end of the month...best player in Ohio)
LB: Jerome Baker (matter of when, not if)
LB: Sh'Mar Kilby-Lane (incredible talent and again, I think he picks us before August...really wish we could've fit Conner in this class though, I have a feeling he goes Sparty and haunts us)
DB: Jamel Dean
DB: Jordan Whitehead (not really sure at all here, just a guess)
ATH: EGW (maybe...he is going to have to keep his nose very clean if he wants to stay in this class)
- That is 22...I'm thinking we probably take one more DB but I just do not know who. With the recent updates, this looks like a very doable class and likely a top 5ish class if we pull it off.
