tOSU Recruiting Discussion

To elaborate, the top options seem to be-

OL: Roderick Johnson, Brady Taylor

DL: Solomon Thomas, Malik McDowell, Derick Nnadi

Surprise: Mike Gesicki, David Njoku, other, second OL or DL

Am I missing anyone obvious?

Looks like a good list to me.

DL: Daniel cage

Right now, I don't see it. Vrabel didn't offer & Johnson didn't offer while he was at PSU. Could change, but I just don't see it right now.

This certainly seems like the list. In order of most likely to be a Buckeye I have it:

Taylor...Nnadi.......Thomas.........Johnson/Gesicki (tie)......................... McDowell..........................................Njoku

Without an offer, how is njoku even on the list? He'd be a nice get, but WR should be a position were not looking at right now. Though he possibly could be a TE down the road, we need some "big uglies" on the lines

Agreed. That's what all the .............. was for. He is certainly Plan D or worse it seems.

I've said a number of times I would love to see Gesicki in but if we land Taylor and still have 2 left I would absolutely love to finish with Nnadi and Thomas. That would be awesome.

The more and more I look at who is left WITH OFFERS and the lack of transfer rumors, the more I think the staff has their 2014 recruiting class completed. This is the last year for 82 scholarships and I know they have until the Fall to have that number at 82 but not much noise or movement one way or the other. Granted a few players may move on or medical harships will come into play into the Spring and Summer but I'm not seeing it like years in the past.

I could see room for one more player than calling it day on another top 3 class. And moving on to the 2015 class and having a full allotment of scholarships available. and being able to see coach Johnson join our already incredible staff on the recruiting trail for a full year.
