This time last year, didn't we have Anzalone and Lewis Neal committed? And nobody was mentioning guys like trey Johnson and Gareon Conley. Losing chase sucks, but I can't wait to find out about the late offer guys the staff goes after, and how the landscape in CFB will change and push commits in other directions. The impending sanctions at Oregon and Miami could work in our favor, and we could end up with a 4star DE or LB from south FL or a kid from Cali or Texas. Still so much time, it's only the beginning of June and were actually looking really good with our current commits and the top remaining recruits
Very true. I'm actually surprised that so many top recruits are jumping on a school this early. It's only the summer and we have the whole season to impress recruits. Top guys can be flipped, I mean what happens when Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisville loses 5-6 games and LSU, Notre Dame, Texas AM loses 3-4 games. What happens when Clemson loses 3-4 games, or what happens when they go 14-0 and win a major bowl game and Swinney upgrades to a top program that has been struggling with an expired coach (Texas) or that can't find a good coach (Tennessee, Southern Cal, etc.).
On the other hand, the same thing could happen to us, lose 2-3 games and not go to a major bowl. Or we could go 14-0 and win a National Title or 13-1 and win a Rose Bowl or go 12-0, lose the BIG title, go to the Sugar Bowl and kick the crap out of the #2 SEC team. Bottom line, a lot can change in the next 7 months.
