No mention of Winovich? I think the staff likes him just as much...but I wasn't sure if he had a commitable OFFER

RB07OSU;2330624; said:Been awhile and I need a quick study break, so my best guess/wishlist for this class assuming 22 (I believe that was the # the staff has said they were thinking):
1. QB: Drew Barker- I see Watson sticking with Clemson as of now, but of course if/when Morris leaves and McMillan/Kitt pick OSU possibly along with a couple other GA guys, I could see him hopping on board. Watson is by far my top choice but if we miss on him, I still love Barker. Great talent and he is such a competitor.
2. RB: Joe Mixon- Aside from Hood, who is leaning hard elsewhere, Mixon is my favorite pure RB and with Campbell already aboard, we only need to add one RB in this class and Mixon seems very interested. Yes please.
3. RB/WR: Parris Campbell
4. RB/WR: Curtis Samuel- We are in great shape here and Samuel is crazy talented...most underrated prospect for 2014 imo.
5. WR: Marshon Lattimore- Could play DB but I think he is too dangerous with the ball in his hands to use him on defense.
6. WR: Demarre Kitt- Seems like a heavy OSU lean and I think McMillan will get him in this class.
7. TE: Mark Andrews- Might be a WR but either way, I like where we sit with him and he is my favorite target here. Bunting is intriguing behind him and I get the feeling UFM loves Blazevich...I have had the feeling Blazevich ends up in this class for some reason, not sure if we would take Blazevich and Andrews though.
8. OL: Kyle Trout
9. OL: Marcelys Jones
10. Jamarco Jones-Just a matter of time imo. The more I watch Jamarco and look at our needs, I think there is a high possibility we move him inside to guard (see the rest of my OL class and that will make sense to you...otherwise he is a good tackle prospect).
11. OL: Damian Prince- I think we are sitting in GREAT position here and I think a good visit and sit down with the staff could get Damian in this class sooner rather than later. Could play RT or LT but I think he is our future LT.
12. OL: Chad Mavety- Seems to be our best possibility of the two JUCOs but if we could get both, I would NOT rule out UFM taking both. Eluemunor is a great prospect but I see him at Bama or Rutgers unless we make a real move over the summer. Either way, I see whichever JUCO we get stepping in immediately for Jack at LT.
13. OL Alex Bookser/Demetrius Knox: I say the number for OL ideally is 6 if we get the right guys. I am not sure we hit that...I say we get the 5 above and I REALLY like Bookser as a tackle prospect and he seems very interested. Also, we are going to knock the doors down for Knox until NLOID...make no mistake about it, Knox is interested. Another down year for UT and look for movement. I also think Sharpe or Roderick Johnson are possibilities here.
14. DL: Dylan Thompson
15. DL: Lorenzo Carter- Maybe a pipe dream but at one point, many thought he was leaning OSU. All I know is we need a purer pass rusher to add to this class in the Spence mold. If not Carter, I think
16. DT: Chris Williams-I think UFM wants a pure DT in this class, Williams LOVES us, and he is the best at this position we have a shot at imo.
17. LB: Dante Booker- Seems the staff prefers Booker over Garrett to this point...if we have room for both then we take them imo. I really hope we have room for both, I think Garrett is going to be a star.
18. LB: Kyle Berger
19. Star/LB/LEO: Sam Hubbard
20. LB: Raekwon McMillan- All but in the bag and I see him as a starter alongside Trey Johnson and Mike Mitchell SOON.
21. DB: Damon Webb
22. DB: John JuJu Smith- ND is in the lead but he has a high interest in OSU and this is going to go until NLOID in all likelihood, so I think UFM pulls another Bell maneuver and shocks everyone. With Hubbard as a potential Star, a high caliber DB locked up in Webb, and last year's ridiculous class, I think we only want one more DB and it will need to be an elite guy like Smith or Peppers. I want Peppers but he is not trending well at all for us. Tony Brown is another elite guy we would want but I am thinking he stays south, likely LSU.
22.5(ish) DB: Erick Smith- Just realized Smith is likely going to end up in this class..I suppose take out a DL or OL for him here.
- Of course there is alot that can happen...you have to think Kief ends up in this class if he indeed has an OFFER. I really want to see Garrett in this class but seems the staff MIGHT be backing off some, not sure why. Perhaps it is just a momentary lull...however, could mean we are good with Hubbard, Berger, McMillan, and Booker. Other guys I really want to see in this class are Autry, Brown Jr., and Roderick Johnson.
Given that 4 of our OL are graduating next year, and with the depth situation the way it is right now, I'll say we NEED a JUCO. And don't forget Bookser. I don't think the staff will turn him away if he wants to join the gang.shiznit7;2330832; said:M. Jones

and maybe a JUCO?

Mothra;2330864; said:Really? Now tell me again how you can validate that...
Let me rephrase. It will be better than their 2012 class for sure (whose OL class was vastly overrated), and might be equivalent to their 2013 OL class, at least.y0yoyoin;2330865; said:so were recruiting 30 OL this year?

OK. I exagerated... a bit...

I will argue about this with you when we actually HAVE said prospects. Don't want to jinx anything...Mothra;2330875; said:How can you be so sure? Face it. Our recruits have roughly the same odds of panning out as theirs. To suggest ours will be better than theirs at this stage in these prospects' career is simply blind optimism, at best.
