tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I don't think we're done with the attrition so maybe another 2 scholies could open up. We can guess who those could be.
The turnover is remarkable. It would seem we're getting better "quality" but it's always a crap shoot.

Is OSU just going to take 2 Tight Ends? This is very talented class in the position and if theres only room for 1 more who most likely gets the last pick?First come first serve? I hope OSU could take all 3 of McNeil, Baugh and Heuerman

No you probably don't. That would take away from another position of need. All 3 are good but 1 and maybe 2 wont get in due to numbers and we don't need 6 TEs on the roster when only 1 will receive significant pt

With the commitment yesterday the Buckeyes now have 7 Rivals 150 prospects. The only commit that is not in the 150 is Elliott, who is also a 4 star (underrated imo).

The only team that has more than OSU is scum, who has 8 out of their 17 total. They also have 4 3-stars, while OSU has none...

I have said it in other threads: H-Back.

H-Back, true tight end, and maybe a flex- or just another true tight end.

There are many HS highlights in which Baugh and Mike Heuerman are split out wide... is it really that hard to envision them doing something similar at the college level- at least on certain plays in certain packages?

I don't think any of us are in a position to say how many of these big athletes will or won't be used on offense before we even see one game in the Meyer regime. That said, I think it is a safe bet that more than one will see significant playing time in a given season.

That said, I don't think there is any way we take three big athletes on offense in the 2013 recruiting class. Just two will do.

With Price already on board who is the BP recruiting team most impressed with as far as remaining DT's we are recruiting. Not really looking for a confidence pick or a "who do we get" question just a pick of the litter stand out player. Several of these DT seem like great players IMO.

Bosa seems destined to play DT or strong-side end. If he ends up a Buckeye, he may be our second DT for this class. If the staff likes him at end then there are still several good candidates to fill the void that are available.

I see Bosa lining up all over the line, kinda like Cam Heyward. They can slide him inside to the 3tech on 3rd downs and he will bring the pressure. I like Michael Hill and Donovan Munger as other DTs who really impress me.

A question better suited for grad but I would say Hurst is a kid I was impressed with on film from an athleticism standpoint. I think for his size he shows good explosion and agility in this film:

I think I like Munger better at guard but I haven't seen enough film to say that definitively.
