tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I think I like Munger better at guard but I haven't seen enough film to say that definitively.

These were my initial thoughts as well. From what little I've seen from Munger, I like him on the offensive side.

A question better suited for grad but I would say Hurst is a kid I was impressed with on film from an athleticism standpoint. I think for his size he shows good explosion and agility in this film:

Agreed on his athleticism. For a big guy, he shows excellent agility. My biggest question about Hurst is whether or not he is the 6-2 280 that he is listed. He looks smaller than that to me, but I've never been a great judge at that stuff, especially on video. If he really is the size listed, then I think I like Hurst the best as well.

Latham is another one I think the staff wants to see at camp.

If they could get Hill, Hurst, Latham and Munger all at camp, I think we will quickly find out who has an offer and who has an OFFER. Not unlike the QB situation.

Hill might be the only one who could commit today if he wanted to, and even that I'm not 100% sure of.

Whereas Rivals used to list offers from OSU for Hill and Latham, currently they do not.

Man that film is very impressive. Hopefully we can get him and Bosa for now then see what happens after the season numbers wise with transfers or guys going pro early (Hank).

Scout $ - Ten To Watch For The Buckeyes

4/18

By The Bank.....
The Ohio State spring game is on tap for this coming Saturday, and it has proven to be a big hit with Buckeye fans over the years. The game has also been a recruiting showcase in the past, and it could provide big dividends again. Here are ten prospects to keep an eye on at Ohio State this weekend.

Haha that was funny...I see 3 committing this weekend. Bosa, Anzalone and Heuerman (even though do we really need another TE?). Oh well in the staff I trust.

As has been explained numerous times, with some of the tight ends potentially becoming H-backs (Baugh and Heuerman are both prime candidates), you can basically look at it like they are replacing fullbacks Zach Boren and Adam Homan who both graduate after this season.

With an H-Back (aka fullback in the old offense), true tight end (Nick Vannett, Jeff Heuerman) along with a potential flex tight end that can split out wide (Stoneburner, Blake Thomas), I really wouldn't be surprised to see three "tight ends" on the field at the same time.

I would be very surprised if at least two weren't on the field at the same time on a consistent basis.

The numbers make sense when you look at it with that perspective rather than from the Tressel offensive perspective.
