First of all, Tebow was my pre-season pick to win it and his parents did a great job raising him and no I didn't know his parents history and that can only be a positive in a kids young life instead, of growing up in any of the negativity most kids grow up today.Gatorubet;1022861; said:You do realize that he is a home schooled kid whose parents were missionaries? That is how he was raised. Nice to see some kid who did not have to "overcome a troubled past" win it for a change.

NEW YORK -- Tim Tebow needed only two years of college to graduate to Heisman Trophy winner, putting the sophomore in a class by himself.
Florida's folk-hero quarterback with the rugged running style and magnetic personality won the Heisman last night to become the first sophomore or freshman to take college football's most prestigious award.
Since 1935, when Jay Berwanger of the University of Chicago won the first Heisman, every winner had been a junior or senior -- until Tebow, who picked up quite a souvenir on his first trip to New York.

Tebow did this against no competition. The tough teams they played, they lost to.
