never realized tebow was such a bible beater. i was already pulling for mcfadden but that just gave me another reason to root against tebow.
It's a little late to be rooting against him. Besides the voting was for his football prowess not his religious belief.

He was home schooled, and the very fundamental nature of his family's faith was discussed ad nauseum during his recruitment.

I wish Tebow actually gave me a reason to hate him. He's basically the most perfect human being ever. Wait maybe that's why I hate him.

As much as I love him as a player, he's a parents dream. That GOD stuff over and over,,,,, made me feel like I was watching those cable bible stations which, MAKES ME LAUGH.

I swear, the play he "broke" his hand looks like it was bogus. He came off the field looking fine, making a fist with his hand. It was a non-displaced fracture to his non-throwing hand. I don't know what that means, but it sounds like a big bruise to me. To be honest, I would not be surprised if this was some sort of way for Urban Whiner to create even more of a "Superman" appeal to Tebow to get him a better shot at the Heisman now that some of the media is drinking the McFadden kool-aid after his performance against LSU.

:shake:Sour grapes Bgriff. So it's Meyer, Tebow, and UF Doctors putting on a feaux cast - in Area 51? :slappy: Yeah, it's a vast Orange and Blue fake injury conspiracy to drum up votes because Meyer had the aluminum foil fortune telling cap on and he knew the night of the FSU game that in three weeks McFadden would be making a Heisman charge. Needing a cover story fast, he invented the story and leaked it he next day. :slappy: :slappy:

Well, the "Whiner" has a BCS trophy, and his qb now has a Heisman. I have to tell you that the only whining I see isn't coming from Urban. Why not congratulate Tebow on an unreal accomplishment and leave it at that?

Deserving win and congats to him!

Did anyone else think it was hilarious when they showed him riding on that little scooter? I had to rewatch it about 4 times.

You do realize that he is a home schooled kid whose parents were missionaries? That is how he was raised. Nice to see some kid who did not have to "overcome a troubled past" win it for a change.

Opinion: Heisman just might be a warm-up for Tebow - College football - MSNBC.com

I find this article.. well, quite frankly, awful. I disliked it so much that I decided to share it. Maybe it's just me though.

Congrats to Tebow on the win and a great season. Even though I still think McFadden is easily the best player... but that shouldn't take away from his season. 20/20 is an impressive accomplishment no matter what anyone says.

Heisman just might be a warm-up for Tebow

There's a strong chance Florida's sophomore QB could three-peat

Florida quarterback Tim Tebow made history Saturday night when he became the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy.Get used to it.
Yes, this is slightly premature. But considering where Florida’s program is going, knowing the playing and strategic experience Tebow can build upon, it’s very easy to visualize a Heisman repeat, the first since Ohio State’s Archie Griffin (1974 and ’75).
Gag me with a spoon.

...
And the way you guys made him sound, Juice Williams is Vince Young reincarnated, so doesn't he count?
Well, he didn't learn how to throw until he played us, kinda like VY :smash: Sure wish we saw the UM version of Juice... but I digress.
