The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

I don't think they're out of ideas. I think they come up with 1 idea and use an entire season to implement it. If it's a season long idea....that's great. When it could fit in the span of 2 episodes, you get this season. Then they can save all 10 ideas that they have and get 10 seasons out of them.

Unless their idea was a bunch of walking followed by some walking and a little bit of walking thrown in for variation. If that was the plan then job well done.

Agreed. They sort of did the ant-House of Cards Season 2, which should have been don in at least twice the number of episodes. If they split that difference exactly, they'd have a hell of a show.

Agreed....the focus on the grill, gates with no locks virtually inviting people in, etc. Has to be them. I have a feeling Scientist boy dies/gets eaten.
Yeah, they did a good job of making that place look creepy. I hope they don't just do a 1 episode trolling blow-off of the Hunters just to say they included them...it could easily be the most interesting story arc of the show, but they'll likely either kill them all or run off to DC and leave them behind to start season 5, the way this shitfest has gone.

I fully expect to find out terminus is a cannibal camp during the season finale next year

So here's an interesting thought...if it is the Hunters, and she does feed them steaks...does she feed them Beth?

That would be an awesome twist. Supposedly next week's season finale is chalk full of action. The spoiler they gave us on Talking Dead was pretty lame, but the reasoning was that it was the only clip that didn't spoil anything. So, hopefully they deliver a decent season ending episode, they're usually good for that at least.

Mary, the woman that invited them to Terminus, is Denise Crosby. I wondered where I recognized her from, she was on Star Trek TNG back in the day, among other things. Apparently she was in Playboy as well. She's definitely creepy as hell, she pulled that off well. I'm thinking cannibals too. Talk about an easy meal ticket in the zombie apocalypse: promise safety and food for everyone, invite people in. Tell them their cannibals, anyone who objects is killed and eaten, anyone else is free to stay.

Was it the clip about Rick teaching Carl to set an animal trap?

Here's the only thing that doesn't make sense about the Terminus being the Hunters...that dude that got bit on the tracks when Tyreese, Carole and the 3 kids were there several episodes ago, was asking, in fact begging, them to go and "take the children" to Terminus, even as he knew he was toast. Why would he be so interested in getting them to go (basically on his death bed) if all they were going to be was dinner? Seems to me it's some sort of religious cult...I read somewhere that there was a cross on the back of the car that abducted Beth. That could still involve some creepy shit, but I don't know about the Hunters.

That would actually be typical Walking Dead to show things like the grill and the fact that it looks completely empty except for the creepy lady, making the hardcore fans who have read the comics and know about cannibals think that's what we're going to get......only to turn it around and troll them.

I haven't read the comics and only know of them from this thread, but that would be pretty fitting to how this show treats it's viewers.

Of course, this is ultra-hypothetical but I don't think that in the same situation(s) I'd just blindly march into some purportedly safe haven (especially not if it's named "the end") based upon signs posted along railroad tracks. Middle GA is scary enough when there isn't a zombie apocalypse. I haven't seen the episode yet but does anyone attempt to scout Terminus before going in?

Nope, they just show up and walk in like they were invited to watch a Buckeye game.

No, which was probably my biggest gripe. Every group they've shown walking there has had someone express their skepticism on Terminus yet not a single one of them thought "oh hey maybe we should scout this place out and see what it is all about before we all go marching inside handing ourselves over."

I also found it to be pretty ridiculous how easy it was to just WALK RIGHT IN THE FRONT FUCKING GATE without seeing a single person. Quite a secure location this Terminus place is...

Well in their defense I think we'll probably find out why the gates weren't locked next week, so I am reserving my judgement on that one...but yeah, for people who have walked into corpse-infested shitholes for years now, they sure were full speed ahead.
