The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

I think the biggest issue is the perception of LSU. Georgia gets a free pass for being smoked by LSU. And outside of LSU beating UGA, they lost every one of their tests against ranked opponents, including conceding 74 points to fucking Texas A&M. But since all of this occurred in the self-cannibalizing conference, fair play!

Make Notre Dame actually join a conference, stop blowing the SEC just because of what Alabama has been able to accomplish, and stop rewarding teams for playing in pathetically weak conferences. You want to keep the playoff at 4 teams, hold every team accountable (not just Ohio State).

Do you honestly think Georgia in anyway deserves #5? This isn't a blow up the system cause 2 closely matched teams were not in. This was a committee ignores all their guidelines cause oooh Georgia almost beat Bama. That is literally their only reason for being in the discussion.
I think UGA should be behind OSU. And yes, I agree their rationale is a close CCG to Bama. But then again, it's not like scUM fell that far after we shellacked them last week, and NW moved down 1 spot. UGA is sitting outside just like us

If any of the 4 CFP teams had a 29 point loss to a 6-6 team I have no doubt there would be 100% agreement on this board that they don't belong.

Last year we had two losses by a total of 46 points - of course we didn't get a bid.

The year before we missed the B1G title game and got a bid anyway. Was it rigged then?

Let's not act like BWI here.

Agreed to a point, but it doesn’t help that the committee talks out of one of 5 sides of their ass depending on who the conference or team in question is

When the committee puts a 2-loss non-conference champion ahead a 1-loss conference champion in the final rankings, they sort of bring the "rigged" accusations on themselves.

I have it 1) Bama; 2) Clemson; 3) OU; 4) ND; 5) tOSU; 6) Georgia.

Why? I hate ND, and #3 is a joke. Ball-less wonders need to join a conference. It's more ND deserves it less than OU than OU and its defense deserves it. tOSU won their conference, so they pass the Mutts. I think y'alls loss was worse than the Texas loss, and OU revenged it. That is not your fault you had no chance to do that, but it points out that OU's loss was to a conference championship game participant and yours was not. Now, go beat some ass in the Rose.

No the "Beat Purdue shit" shouldn't stop. If we beat them we were in, point blank, period. You and the rest of the scarlet glasses mafia can bitch and moan all you want, but OSU controlled their own destines and shit the bed in West Lafeyette. Just like last year they cost themselves a spot against Iowa. You can try and ignore it if you want. Funny thing is, the same "bullshit" you speak would've happened to OSU if we were undefeated, and would've gotten the benefit of the doubt and other fanbases would've been pissed at OSU. What's the big deal with UGA? It doesn't affect us if we were all of the sudden ranked #5, we still wouldn't be in the CFP and still be going to the Rose Bowl. So UGA is rated higher, they go to a NY6 just like us. It is what it is.
It CAN stop, because the argument isn't "We should've gotten in". It's "This selection process is bullshit". Purdue has nothing to do with that.

I mean.....feel free to join the "I just wanna be contrarian" mafia and drone on about Purdue all you want. But the committee is lying to our faces when they tell us the criteria that they value, and then place us behind Georgia.

Pretty much their criteria is now officially whatever the hell we feel like and we'll justify it after.

It doesn't but the 9 game conference schedule is an unnecessary disadvantage for Big Ten teams and one SEC and ACC teams don't have to deal with.
How is playing conference opponent instead of an OOC opponent an unnecessary disadvantage? You're still playing 12 games, regardless if it's 4 OOC/8 conference or 3 OOC/9 conference.

True, but it makes it easier to go undefeated. And clearly "shitting the bed" doesn't matter that much. Losing by 6 or 29 to Purdue, the narrative was going to be that was a loss to a bad team and Ok avenged their loss and Georgia is SEC
Not sure playing a ninth conference team vice a fourth OOC team "makes it easier to go undefeated". Also, it hasn't been a loss to an OOC team that has kept us out of the playoffs but rather lopsided losses to mediocre conference teams. I guarantee you that had the Purdue loss been by a TD or less, maybe even in OT, we would not have plummeted in the rankings like we did and thus would've had a lot less ground to make up.

Yes I know but the point this year we were hanging on waiting for the other shoe to drop. If we move our buy one week earlier and replace purdue with the patsy and move it to the place of the Maryland game like SEC. Do you think even if we played like we did at Purdue we wouldn't have beat Akron? Yet the SEC is never penalized for doing this. So their are two options do what they do or change the NCAA rules so they can't. The first is far more likely to happen then the later.
You're assuming we know in advance which mediocre conference opponent is going to rise up and bite us in the ass. Who knew before last season that Iowa would boat race us or before this season that Purdue would curb stomp us? Just beat the conference opponents you're supposed to beat, or at least if you lose don't get skull-fucked, and you're in the playoffs if you're 12-1 and B1G champs. Also, don't struggle with team you're supposed to blow out (see Minnesota, Nebraska, Maryland).
