Ditto...I am now where I watch OSU and Cleveland teams...and maybevthe B1G once in a while. Everyone else can EABOD
Yeah... Saturdays used to be glorious here... as many as 4 TVs running at the same time, noon to midnight.... now? I watch Ohio State and that's about it. I mean, I guess I've watched a handful of non OSU games this year... but.. nothing near like I used to do.

None of it matters anymore...once the network that runs the playoff became associated with a specific conference, it ceased being a sport and became sports entertainment

We still have to play out-of-division opponents, since we have only six opponents within our own division. Besides, who says we don't shit the bed against that fourth OOC opponent? You're just making excuses for the two blowout losses and placing the blame where it shouldn't be.
Yes I know but the point this year we were hanging on waiting for the other shoe to drop. If we move our buy one week earlier and replace purdue with the patsy and move it to the place of the Maryland game like SEC. Do you think even if we played like we did at Purdue we wouldn't have beat Akron? Yet the SEC is never penalized for doing this. So their are two options do what they do or change the NCAA rules so they can't. The first is far more likely to happen then the later.

Yep. If I watch anything other than Ohio State, it's because that game just happens to be on and only then if it's on a non-ESPN network.

TBH watching Ohio State play has waned a bit too. Thankfully I can listen to Kiels on the radio instead of the failures doing the announcing most of the time

Really, I don't even have a problem with the Top 4. You can make a case for OU or Ohio State. Georgia at #5 is fucking bullshit. If losses no longer matter anymore then why did 2017 Wisconsin get penalized for losing a close game to Ohio State in the toughest conference in the country? That's honestly the move that makes me think the B1G should take their ball and go home because it's obvious they aren't playing by the same rules.

I hate to point this out....

But they did give us our chance without a conference championship and we got rectally violated by Clemson for 60 minutes. And, we knew (or should have) known we were going to pay for that for the next few years.

Welcome to those repercussions!! Now let's blow the doors off Washington
But they...claim...every season is a separate discussion, so that...shouldn’t...matter

Oklahoma got skull fucked by Clemson in 2015 and that didn't seem to matter.

Yet they never punish OU for continually choking. They talk out of both sides of their ass. Strength of schedule matters but losing 2 of 3 top games when the other teams only have one loss and are conference champs doesn't. Conference championships matter to put one team that was comparable above another but not to the other team. Also apparently Best wins mattered in 2014 and 2016 but not any other year. Alll the while ESPN lobs the committee softballs cause it fits their narrative and they don't want to reveal the committee as a farce or sham it really is.
