Explain how this keeps you from shitting the bed to mediocre conference foes like Iowa and Purdue. The fact we had nine conference games and three OOC games (and that we played TCU instead of Youngstown State) had zero to do with us stepping on our dicks at Purdue (or at Iowa last year).
It doesn't but the 9 game conference schedule is an unnecessary disadvantage for Big Ten teams and one SEC and ACC teams don't have to deal with.

True, but it makes it easier to go undefeated. And clearly "shitting the bed" doesn't matter that much. Losing by 6 or 29 to Purdue, the narrative was going to be that was a loss to a bad team and Ok avenged their loss and Georgia is SEC Georgia.might

This doesn't work either because, the moment OSU has a weaker schedule than a SEC team, all of a sudden strength of schedule is going to matter again. What do you think happens when a 1-loss Alabama non-champion with a top 10 SOS and more ranked wins has to go up against a 1-loss B1G Champion Ohio State team with the 59th SOS? Them putting Georgia ahead of OSU spells that out. This also tells me Alabama is getting in last year even if Ohio State had one-loss.

OSU will never have a higher SOS than SEC teams because the way the rankings are set up, there are always 8 SEC teams in the top 25.

This. As soon as Ohio State runs train on their 2019 schedule, AND wins the conference, we won’t get the same favorable bullshit Notre Dame has gotten this season.

We do need to do something else. I'm talking about us too. Every year

Alabama
Clemson
OU
Ohio State
Now Georgia

Then we MAYBE pick a different team. We need fresh blood. Too bad LSU wasn't better

I mean we might as well draw names out of a hat

So, no balls. Like I said. The fact that there is a “contract” and ESPN controls all the TV$ rights to pretty much everything including the Rose Bowl is just a fucking joke.

No surprise because this bias has permeated for so long it’s expected by everyone. SEC schools plays FCS schools two weeks before the season ends (no problem) ND sits at home and now gets to be smashed by the #2 team (who they should have played but the ACC is allowed to exclude ND to protect their pussy asses) and the B1G champion is left out for the 3rd year in a row.

The sport could be fixed but that would cost ESPN and the “bowls” a metric shit ton of money because they would need to turn a real playoff over to the NCAA.

UGA at #5 is just a big fuck you from ESPN to the B1G, Pac12, any G5 champ and it will continue until this sport says fuck you you’re fired.
