The "Beat Purdue" shit can stop. Complaining about this bullshit selection method has nothing to do with losing to Purdue. Fine....we should have beat Purdue. That doesn't mean it's OK to pull this bullshit with ND and UGA.Beat Purdue and we were in. I think Clemson will see the same thing as well, if they would've lost in the season to a Syracuse or UNC, then they'd be in the same position as us. But the ACC is just so bad that an 18yo can win that conference, and they're the only team in the conference with a solid pulse.
Of course they were already talking about out of both sides of their ass how Oklahoma was winning 59-56 was grit and their D made some great plays. They made maybe 10 plays the whole game sure committteeyou know better than that.
it would have been “they won their conf, but it was against Purdue, not TEXAS!!!!!”
I think it’s funny the commentators keep mentioning Oklahoma avenging their only loss and beating everyone on their schedule as a positive for Okie.

Explain how this keeps you from shitting the bed to mediocre conference foes like Iowa and Purdue. The fact we had nine conference games and three OOC games (and that we played TCU instead of Youngstown State) had zero to do with us stepping on our dicks at Purdue (or at Iowa last year).Agree. Go back to 8 and start scheduling Florida A&M and Citadel.
And, putting UGA in at 5 has nothing to do with what they think of UGA. They needed a buffer so they could say with a straight face that the OU/OSU decision wasn't close. That's all it is. They don't honestly think their criteria puts UGA 5th.
This doesn't work either because, the moment OSU has a weaker schedule than a SEC team, all of a sudden strength of schedule is going to matter again. What do you think happens when a 1-loss Alabama non-champion with a top 10 SOS and more ranked wins has to go up against a 1-loss B1G Champion Ohio State team with the 59th SOS? Them putting Georgia ahead of OSU spells that out. This also tells me Alabama is getting in last year even if Ohio State had one-loss.Agree. Go back to 8 and start scheduling Florida A&M and Citadel.
Easy it's entirely possible we don't play Iowa last year or purdue this year with that schedule.
