The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

I understand its silly... I understand I could be wrong but I believe that is what the committee intends to do...

EDIT: Also i said OU and Gawja lose for us to get in... OU wins and Gawja loses OU is in...
Theres 3 games to watch. Obviously we need to win so let's assume that one. That leaves us with:

Bama loses, Oklahoma doesn't matter - we're out
Bama wins, Oklahoma loses - we're in
Bama wins, Oklahoma wins - nobody knows

It's that simple. There's no scenario that has a basis in reality where Bama wins and Georgia gets in. It would have to be 89-88 for that to happen. Georgia's not doing that to Bama.

No I firmly believe anything other than a blowout loss to Bama, Gawja would have two 2 10 losses that were close so that they would get in ahead of us. They gotta lose by like 21+ and OU has to lose for us to have any chance....

Irony: They have a 20 point loss to LSU (strategically placed in the Top 10) & would have a second loss. Sounds vaguely familiar...

I get it... I get that my believe is not based on anything rational at all. I’m just saying if Georgia loses by 7 and OU loses... in my own warped mind there is a chance we are left out...

Man just saw that ND only beat Pitt 19-14. Now I'm really feeling like UCF is getting screwed this year. UCF destroyed Pitt 45-14. The only difference between ND and Clemson's schedule and UCF's is that ND and Clemson might have played one more quality team, but teams like Memphis, Cincy, and Temple would probably be pretty similar to these ACC teams that Clemson is playing.

Memphis, Cincy & Temple would all have good shots to beat Pitt.

Pitt's season includes a 45 point loss to Ped State. A loss to 2-9 North Carolina , 31 point loss to UCF. And a 24-3 Loss to 7-5 Da U this past weekend.

Sadly Clemson will probably beat them by 30+ and be praised for it by ESPNSECACC

At the end of the day, if we didn't have a dogshit **~30 point** loss to Purdue, or a 1 point victory against a mediocre Maryland team barely 2 weeks ago, we wouldn't be in this situation.

Only 1 conference has the ignominy of having their conference representative completely shut-out in the CFPs - not once, but TWICE in a row.
Big Ten needs to take a strong, hard look in the mirror and handle its business this bowl season, before we have room to complain.
I thought we did that last bowl season? 7-1. I also remember the sec going something like 2-6 and the other conferences hovering around .500

How they arrive at those four best teams is a constantly moving goalpost.

Which is a pretty subjective choice when the teams play less than 10% of eligible schools and the majority of that small sample size are in self contained pods.

That's like saying the only goalpost is to pick the four hottest women in the room. And one year I picked a girl because she was a blonde and I like blondes, the next year a blonde gets left out over a girl with a "clearly hotter body", and then next year the girl with the best body gets left out because she has freckles. Oh and one year, I pick a 39 year old who isn't as hot as she has been in prior years because she's shown she can be hot before.
Which is exactly my point...

This thing is supposed to look and feel like a beauty contest. There's supposed to be lots of drama and intrigue.

There's not supposed to be a subjective formula because that'd be no fun and wouldn't feel like a season of "Game of Thrones" or "The Bachelor".

So, yeah, the debate and discussion is fun because we love our Buckeyes, and we think they've earned the right to play for a championship, but I think we also need to realize that we're kinda / sorta being the hamsters in the wheel.
