Interesting to look at Sagarin this week:

Ohio State has beat two teams in Sagarin's Top 10, one on the road. And while Notre Dame's schedule is a who's who of both recent and historical prestige names (USC, FSU, Va Tech, Navy, Stanford, UM) their two best wins are by 7 over UM and 10 over Northwestern... OSU has an opportunity to blow out both back-to-back. Almost none of ND's marquee opponents played well this season. Once you get past the UM and NW results, ND's schedule was horseshit. The next best team they played was probably Syracuse. Oh yeah, ND's third best win, Cuse, is also Clemson's best win, and Clemson really struggled in that one. NC State? Boston College? Puh-lease.

I'm honestly curious why this debate is between OSU and OU... it could just as readily be between ND and Clemson.

CFB is just way, way too punishing to teams that have the audacity to lose one game.

You've supposedly got 5 major conferences and the assholes from South Bend. Limiting a playoff to 4 teams will always guarantee a conference champ gets left out, at a minimum. No big deal when that champ is 9-3 Washington, but what if all 5 champs had 0 or 1 loss and NoD had 0 or 1 as well?

Two champs get fucked?

8 teams seems like the logical solution - I'm not interested in 6 teams with two of them handed byes - but no more than that. We don't need teams with 3 or 4 losses getting in it, either.

THIS.

Absolutely positively this.

Oh, you are mad about being undefeated Domer and being left out? Then join a fucking conference.

Pretty damn convenient to commit to a certain amount of ACC games........except the CCG.

I think the committee has a chance to make a statement and bump OU and OSU over them. But it won’t happen.

Imagine being a full functioning adult and watching these games today and STILL believe Notre FUCKING Dame and their homicidal head coach are the 4th best team in the country.....

I may sound like a broken record. But give up 14 instead of 28 in 4th Q of Purdue game and OSU isn't in debate for the fourth spot if they take care of business. It is a debate between ND, OK and perhaps Bama. We can bitch about all of the other close games all we want, but the others in the debate for last spot are no better.

Yep. I'd love to play ND because I think OSU would beat them. But when 6-6 Purdue beats you by 29 points - the only team they beat by more than that was fucking Illinois - you don't have to look for conspiracies or bias to figure out why you're not in the top 4.

None of the teams we're debating has a loss as ugly as ours. It matters, even if we don't like it.

Cool...you obviously like sounding like a broken record because I never said anything about anyone else...so I have no idea why you thought my comment warranted you reiterating your position regarding Ohio St.

So, back to my original opinion. Fuck Notre Dame and any dipshit who serious thinks they’re one of the top 4 teams in college football.
