The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

538 has OK 3 OSU 4 ND 5. Which would be amazing.

I'd die happily if that happened. Don't even need to watch the playoff.

Dear god would that be glorious watching the meltdowns across the CFB sites.

Too bad it has an insignificantly non-zero chance at happening. Wish they had the balls to punish ND like that for not being in a conference, but I can promise you that the will isn't there since they're undefeated. If they were 11-1 I would actually not be surprised if it happened.

Then I want the committee to come out and say losses are bigger than wins. Because we have bigger wins than any of the 4 that are likely to get in besides Bama. That should negate a lot of that loss.

What are those bigger wins? Notre Dame's opponents have 9 more wins than ours, not to mention they're undefeated, and they're shit. So how did we prove we're better? Michigan? TCU? Penn State? Who are these awesome wins? Did the Bucks beat half of the top ten and I missed it? I think the Bucks would beat ND, but that means nothing. I also think Bama would romp over our defense, and I'm not so sure about Clemson. So what is the difference maker I'm missing?

It's like deja vu all over again. Our Bucks shit the bed by 4 touchdowns to a middling B1G team and people expect the CFP committee to pretend it didn't happen.

Wanna a CFP bid? Don't lose by 31 to 7-5 Iowa. Don't lose by 29 to 6-6 Purdue. It's no mystery why we were left out last year, and probably will be this year.

It's pretty clear at this point that the criteria change completely year to year and week to week.

Which is why it really should be a BCS style system with the computers generating the rankings with a part of the input being human rankings. You can understand the math behind the whole thing, results are a little predictable, and as long as the humans don't account for too much of the input, bias and crap like last weeks comments on OU vs. OSU can be greatly reduced.

This year the BCS Championship would make more sense. Would anyone be upset if wen just put Alabama v. Clemson as the championship? They were clearly the two best teams.

If one team plays 13 games and another plays 12, why can't the team that plays more drop it's worst game? Against common opponents we were better

Probably because the team who played 13 games got their asses kicked by 29 points by a team who lost to Eastern fucking Michigan and finished 6-6. FFS, stop whining. Would you really rather get your asses handed to you by Alabama? Do you honestly think this OSU team would beat them?

Think about the no name dudes running 70+ yards for TDs against our defense, then picture that defense against Bama (or Oklahoma, for that matter). Stop kidding yourselves. :roll1:

Clearly this would be the time to expand to 8 teams. Because who knows what the fuck might happen. Clemson is absolutely beatable by teams 3-8. And Bama is susceptible as well.

Problem is, this year more than any the contenders all have serious flaws. ND, Clemson, and to a lesser extent Alabama have joke schedules. The Big 12 defenses that Okie crushed are just cringe worthy. Meanwhile we have to run a gauntlet in the toughest division in football, getting banged up every week against real opponents.

The notion that we ran a gauntlet as compared to those other teams is bullshit. Put down the feelz and look at the stats.

And, no small matter, none of those teams got blown out by fucking Purdue. :roll1:
